PAAK issue

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue or has a possible fix. My PAAK will not unlock the vehicle when I touch the door handle. However, once I’m inside, it starts the vehicle without any issues. When I leave, the vehicle keeps honking, as if the phone is still inside.
I have deleted and reset PAAK on the screen, removed and reinstalled the FordPass app, and even disconnected the 12V battery for 20 minutes—yet the issue persists. The vehicle works perfectly with the key fob. No other PAAK accounts are linked or connected to the vehicle. Just want to add as well I’ve had my phone set up as a key for over two years with the Lightning and zero issues. This just started a couple weeks ago.

Double horn Honk after leaving the truck alerts you the you exited the truck WITHOUT a fob or phone in the truck and left the truck running.

I never had mine honk when a fob or phone was left in the truck when the truck was turned off. In fact I leave a programmed fob in the truck often and just lock the doors with the keypad.

Agreed. I lock my phone or fob in the truck quite often while I am running and it never honks.

Yes. Its not your phone its the electronics in the truck, something beyond your control. As I am told. My truck is in for servicing as we speak. Ill find out next week.

Ok thank you for this info. I did come across someone with the same problem in this form from last year. I believe they said the problem just went away on its own one day. Hopefully they can figure it out for you and if you have time, please let me know what it was.

Yes PAAK works to start the truck just not to unlock with door handles.

Mine is doing this more and more as of late... cant unlock the doors with PAAK, need the code. Then once I'm inside, start button fires it right up.

Yep, that’s exactly what’s happening with mine. Every once in a while, it would do it. Now it’s all the time.

I’m having this exact issue. My driver’s side doors will not lock/unlock with PAAK. Passenger side works fine. Previous 10 months of owning the truck and using PAAK never had an issue. If someone has a solution please let us know.

If one door does not respond but others do, you have a problem with that door module.

iPhone 16 Pro—never had an issue until two weeks ago. Yes, all settings are optimized. If I open the truck manually, PAAK works fine to start the vehicle. However, when I leave the vehicle and lock it, as soon as I close the door, the vehicle starts honking and reopening, thinking the key is left inside. I have to lock the vehicle using the keypad

My vehicle started with the drivers door then moved on to the passenger side. Now neither work.
