Today I am offered 6.5 to update (I got 6.4 yesterday). ***I didn't get the long list of requirements the OP got. The update was scheduled for 1 am tomorrow by my update scheduling, but 3x in a row now, I've picked Update Now. The truck just tells me to turn it off, exit, and secure the truck. But each time, within ~2 minutes, I get an Update Postponed message on the Sync screen which is active, 1st displaying a countdown, then a Preparing Update message. When I get back in the truck and turn it on, the Software Update screen says "The update was interrupted by another process."

Initially, I had the truck plugged into my FCSP, and I had my Veepeak car scanner in the OBDII port. But it still failed on the third try with those removed.

My LVB was only at about 78% SOC, according to CarScanner, so that's pretty dumb messaging by Ford if the "...interrupted by another process" is caused by a system message that my LVB is not sufficiently charged. As I said, the original details provided in the Power Up 6.5 available notice said nothing about LVB charge - just that I needed to turn the truck off, exit, and secure it.

So I'm currently running the truck in my garage to try to push LVB SOC well above 80% and see if that fixes me up.

***Correction: I was referring to the Software Updates Sync screen messaging. When I look in FordPass, there is nothing new beyond 6.4 on 12/13 under the Vehicle Screen, FEATURES & SETTINGS, Software Updates. But there is an Alert in the Vehicle Status icon on the FordPass Home screen. I'll include that in a following post. Probably the same area the OP's image came from.

You know what they say about watched pots?

Seriously, if you are near the truck with a FOB or PAAK enabled device, it's my presumption that the interrogation processes between the truck and those items is part of the issues with "Interruptions"

The couple times I encountered this, I stopped the Fordpass app on my phone, (force stop on Android), started the update countdown on Sync, set brake, lights off, locked door, walked away with FOB & phone.

Once or twice the installs went well, I do recall that sometimes it still failed, but that might have been for other reasons, LVB SOC might have been low .... who knows for sure.

Thanks for the suggestions. I considered that, and on the third try, I put my iPhone inside a microwave oven in the kitchen to serve as a Faraday cage, but the third try still failed. In earlier tries, I had been standing beside the truck holding my iPhone in my hand, and the phone is set to act as PAAK.

When I get back in the truck and turn it on, the Software Update screen says "The update was interrupted by another process."
Perhaps if I'd used FordPass and had looked on the Home screen under the truck status button, I would have seen the update requirement notice the OP got about 6.5. After 3 failed 6.5 update tries, I finally noticed an alert about the failure and rescheduling. I essentially got the same list of requirements as the OP with a notice that the update failed because one of the requirements was not met. So stupid to be so vague and to have entirely different notices about update requirements and update failures on the Sync screen of the truck under Software Updates vs. Alert notices in FordPass. Ford has this incredibly cheesy OTA update process for our $60K to $100K trucks, yet expects us to trust our lives to its Blue Cruise programming?! I hope BC programmers are the A team. I'm not even sure that Ford OTA update programmers are the B team...

I would love for the system to tell us directly what the failure issue was, instead of a generic "...interrupted by another process" tell me what that process was and what I could do to mitigate the interruption!!!

Well, around 9 pm, 12/13, after a short drive and letting the truck run a bit while parked, the LVB was just at 80%. Picked Install Now, shut the truck down with everything closed, lights off, truck locked, FCSP charger and OBDII scanner not plugged in, iPhone in microwave Faraday cage.

The 6.5 update said it was installed successfully via a Vehicle Status alert in FordPass, but on the truck Sync screen, Software Updates, the message was 6.5 Not Complete. I have not yet received any message in my FordPass Account, Message Center as to a successful 6.5 update.

I didn't check out much about the truck, but the Tire Pressure screen is no longer showing any tire pressures after the 6.5 update. Maybe as other posters have joked in this thread, the truck just needs a good night's rest.

Within minutes of getting the 6.5 update completion status notices, the Sync screen announced another update was downloading. Priority Update: 23-PU0722-DC-CHG3
the Improved DC Fast Charging update. That also required the truck to be shut down. The update succeeded, and both FordPass and the Sync screen said the update was successful. No Message Center notice has yet been received about that installation, either.

Ford really needs to offer us a historical list somewhere of what updates have been successfully applied and what are still pending, Not Complete, or whatever. The FordPass Message Center doesn't seem to be a dependable record and it's littered with other stuff. It's ridiculous to have to take up a dealer's time to find out or invest in a Mongoose, go up a steep learning curve, and buy a short-term service subscription to use FDRS, or otherwise, as Blanche DuBois would say (in A Street Car Named Desire), depend on the kindness of strangers.

It may be awhile before I charge to 100% to confirm, at the moment 90% is giving me 262, impute to 100% yields 291 miles of range, IIRC this computation last year was yielding a value of 320, now we're back to a modest seasonal temperature adjustment, or 91% of ideal conditions.

Funny how some folks are getting the updates in quick sequence, while I'm now 4 days past 6.4.0 and waiting ....... second stringer!

on 6.4.0 since 12/12. This one (6.5.0) keeps failing. Just tried an update now, after coming home from an hour round trip, so should not be LVB SoC.

Rode the Harley today, bright blue skies and 62°, much more enjoyable than fretting over not getting this update yet.

Smell the roses & pine trees (this time of year in New England)

I sat at 6.4 for three days then got the 23-PU0813-DOR-UP2 two days ago and 6.5 this evening.

It should be coming your way shortly. 🤞

That sounds wonderful! Also, consider yourself passed. I got 6.5 installed today, did an update now at my first chance and it worked beautifully.

Enjoy the scenery!

I’m going backwards. We’ve got a nasty storm headed here this weekend. And, my truck is in for service while I tool around in a gas F-150 loaner. Feels weird driving a slow truck again! I keep questioning my pedal strength. Time for some more calf raises.
