My issue with getting the update installed ended up being my WiFi network was no longer automatically connecting. I went into connectivity and selected my network and the update installed that night. The over the air updates do not work at my home when the truck is inside the garage unless it connects to WiFi. I’m guessing it was the update before this one that screwed with the automatic connection to my WiFi . 🤷‍♂️

One more observation, I have reverse brake assist turned off up to now, and it stayed off after the update, but I got a nice warning that it was off on the IPC as soon as I shifted into reverse, had not noticed the new "feature" on the afternoon drive but did notice this evening.

It has been trying to update a few times. All unsuccessful. Now it is saying update 6.8 is unavailable and will be coming soon. Did anyone else get that message?

Post or PM me your VIN and I can check the status of the OTA in PTS.

Mine did the same. Downloaded on Thursday, failed twice Thursday and twice Friday and now says it will try again with the next update (pictures above). My VIN is 1FTVW1EL9PWG02240 if you can check it too.

The update was canceled and recalled by Ford. This is not a bad thing. That I know of, three Mach E's, two F150's and one Bronco have been bricked by a recent OTA. I have not able to obtain the VIN for any of these cars nor do I know which update caused the problem, but maybe this is why the update was canceled by the cloud. I just did this update to my truck this morning with FDRS with no issues. In your case, it was failing due to low SoC/capacity, but at this point, the OTA trigger is no longer active. You would have to wait for it to be resent to you.

Thanks. I had left the truck running for 3 hours Thursday and couldn’t get the 12V over 79%. On Friday I drove for 45 minutes and got it to 82% just before the second to last failure. I’m going to go back to the dealer next week to get the 12V tested because I’m still convinced that it has an issue.

The proper battery test takes 2-3 hours, so be prepared to wait or just drop it off and pick it up later.

I'm at the same point. For me this update started this past Tuesday, failed yesterday and now no update button or schedule.

I have checked a few cars today and this update seems to be being pulled off of the shelf. Several vehicles show the update as "canceled by the server" in PTS which means Ford is pulling it. Something must be wrong with it.

Hmm. I tried to charge my truck from ~43% to 80% last night with my FCSP software set at 48 amps but hardware set as 80 amps on a dedicated 100 amp line. I couldn't get more than 5 kW. If I went to my FCSP settings, it still showed an 80 amp possible max but I couldn't dial that up and save the setting to change the power delivery from 5 kW. I haven't tried to charge to 80% since early November and had a bunch of updates since then, the latest being 6.8. Since I have problems with my HIS unit again, maybe it's just another sign that my FCSP (or truck?) is sick. OTH, maybe one of the updates, 6.8?, dinged charging rate?

I am not familiar enough with the Lightnings to confirm or deny if the charge rate has been affected by the recent string of OTA's, but this particular update for the IPC would have no effect on that.

My charge rate is working as it was previously, the FCSP is dialed at 80 amps on the hardware and the Fordpass is also dialed in for 80 amps, effective output 76 amps.

Thursday afternoon I tried to prolong the "charge session" by dialing down the rate, the Fordpass control allows us to dial down the rate to lower AMPS, but it has been malfunctioning for the most recent versions of Ford pass, I could get it to slow down for about 5 minutes, then the truck started calling for the full rate even though the app said it was dialed for a lesser rate.

The yellow indicator on the right of the FCSP status bar indicated reduce charging requested when I dialed it down, Emporia Vue2 graph confirms the reduced flow, but shortly after [ 5 minutes] it jumped back up to full rate. IMHO this is a problem with Ford Pass not the EVSE/FCSP.

@Ford Motor Company needs to allow us to manipulate the charge rate in the APP and the vehicle just like TESLA does.

Btw: Confirmed that the OTA that bricked one of the Mach E's is this one.
