thanks for the response. It’s my first ford, and absolutely love the truck. Noticed that carpeting and thought my local ford dealer that sold it to me may have done some work to it. Thanks for clearing that up!If you’re talking about the cut of the carpet at the top yes totally normal. My lariat looks exactly the same way. It’s just how they do it.
My truck came with those. I like the one in the rear. Covers most of the carpet but in the front I got Smartliner. These are awesome in my opinion. They really cover everything. They even go around the seat tracks to help protect that carpet. And on the passenger side the mat going around the track helps hold it in place really good.FYI - the Ford OEM accessory rubber mats are a really good investment, front and rear. They're listed on the Ford main page under Accessories.

Hi.
I just bought a 2023 for f150 lightning xlt trim. I was wondering if the pedal should like the picture attached. It seems like a repair may have been done and the carpeting wasn’t fixed. Can any one tell me if this looks normal?![]()
Yeah, I have noticed that a few places around the vehicle(under the front seat, etc.) I’m sure they saved $1 billion by doing that but it is kind of disappointing for an $80,000 MSRP vehicle.Yes - Mine looks like this too…I think they only bring the carpet up as far as you can visually see getting in and out of the truck to save $$ on material costs.
I will post a few tomorrow.Any pics?
Here are a couple pics. Totally covers all the carpet. I did not take any of the pass. Side but it’s the same.Any pics?
