It does automatically shut down the bed outlets as soon as you remove the charging cable, so you’ll need to re-enable the pro-power outlets (and hit the start button) to begin re-using them

I phoned Ford and talked to several departments about how what the manual calls the "onboard generator" works, like can it supply power to a trailer while the trailer is being towed, and what does the warning in the Owners Manual mean. This was before I read posts by owners saying they power trailers while towing no problem. I still wanted to know what the warning in the manual means. I eventually reached someone representing the "BEV" department who was said to know these things. He didn't have a clue, even as to whether the "onboard generator" can send power to a trailer that is being towed. He referred me to the dealer. The salesman at the dealer had no idea. I don't yet have possession of the Flash I have a purchase order for. Is Ford claiming we have to use Ford approved extension cords when sending power from the bed outlets to a trailer that we're towing?

I don’t think Ford is claiming anything more than their lawyers require to keep them out of court. The system works just fine going down the road, but there are a number of safety considerations with running a cable like that. Nothing you can’t secure with a few zip ties, but you can bet someone will screw that up at some point.

Lawyers need to eat, too. 😁

Does this also have freezer capability? Amazon descriptions are confusing. One part says freezerless capacity.
Yes, You can set the temp as low as -4dF. We traveled 3+ hours with Ice Cream in the cooler and it stayed perfectly frozen

i has 2 sections. The larger section stays the coldest. The smaller section no as cold so it acts like fringe in the small section.

no, only the Frunk outlets are limited... I tow my camper and POWER it from the bed while traveling, with no issues, even if needing to run the roof air conditioner, fridge, water heater, fans, etc... if you have the optional 9.6kw ProPower output, all those rear bed outlets are 30amp output each, or 4 @ 120v and 1@ 240v... up to 7.2kw combined(60 amps @ 120v equivalent)...
Are you sure all the outlet in the bed are 30v. Even the 120v?

I have the 9.6kw ProPower option. The bed 120 volt outlets are clearly marked 20 amps. Some believe that 30 amps can be drawn out of them. They haven't inspected the wiring leading to the outlets which could be rated for 30 amps, but may not be. The outlets are marked 20 amps because they have been certified to be able to handle 20 amps.

tested, and proven: yes

they come off the same EXACT wiring that supplies the 30amp 240v outlet

My point is that the wires that lead to the 120v 20 amp bed outlets are not the wires that lead to the 220v 30 amp outlet, and they may not be rated for the load. An outlet stamped at the factory as rated for 20 amps, is rated for 20 amps.

The inverter the 120 volt 20 amp outlets may well be the same inverter that supplies the 220v 30 amp outlet.

The rating stamped on the receptacle corresponds to the NEMA blade configuration and nothing more. We really don’t know what current the internals are capable of, but I highly doubt Ford would risk having it be lower than the overcurrent protection setting.
