Looks like Ford shut this down. It let me go through the entire process -- including the $0.00 charge to my credit card -- but then gave an error message, "Unable to process your request."

Just worked for me right now.

Mixed bag here - 2022 & 2023 ER Lariats - went thru the free year process successfully on both, but both still showing original expiration periods and now no options to renew/buy. No confirmation emails received as yet either.

Maybe the whole "date changes / date doesn't" depends on if you are in the renew window (next x months, maybe 6?). If so, then the 1-year applied and your date was updated. For others like me, my trial expires 8 months from now in Oct '25. So it still shows my original trial end date but with a $0 renewal when it ends.
Never mind, turns out folks were reporting the checkout screen and not what actually ends up on their account. Account still shows original expire date but a pending 1-year renewal.

Hope this didn't also sign me up for auto-renewal - it reads like I am on an annual subscription plan now.

I just did it. Worked like a champ for my 2023 and extended me to 2027. I suspect that Ford is doing this to get 3 year trial folks configured up for an annual renewal. A free year following the trial is a heck of a carrot to do so. Now 4 years of Blue Cruise.

I need to renew by June 6 2025. The screen showed that I was renewed to June 6, 2026. Then I got the error message. Now I don't have the option to renew any more. I'll check back Monday. I LOVE the truck, but Ford's software SUCKS.

@Ford Motor Company hurting in those paid subscriptions. Smart move to give it free for a year to continue to collect data to make it better no options for 2024 but it’s OK. I’m not gonna pay 50 bucks a month. Either drop it back to 200 a year or do a family plan for those people that own 2 evs.


You guys need to go to the Sirius XM model. You get the idiots that’ll pay the 50 bucks a month for it but the majority will not unless they pay x amount. It’s annoying, but I do it every year. I pay 3.99 with tax for my Sirius xm yes I got called in or chat with someone for 15 to 20 minutes but it works 100% every year they’re smart. They’ll take four dollars a month from millions of subscribers. Your not gonna get 50 bucks from the amount people that you want to make it worth wild, need to be smart and lower it. You’d be surprised how many people would get the subscription if it was cheaper and you would get more than you’re currently getting a month or a year, but what do I know? Your ceo should talk to Sirius xm ceo and see why they went to that model and how much they make because of it.

I’m glad it’s working for everyone! Honestly, I feel like through 2024 model years they should just give BlueCruise free for life. Will be interesting to see what prices look like in three years. Clearly nobody is paying for it now.
