Not much you can say, really. Your truck is not reporting any codes I can use to give you some leverage to get them to do at least some of the updates. I'll be able to see if they do any of them before you pick it up, but other than asking nicely and hope they do it, there isn't much you can do. They are not under obligation to update anything since Ford does not pay them labor hours to update modules just because they aren't up to date.I have an appointment this afternoon at the dealership. What do I need to tell them to update to make sure I get everything done?
And how will I be able to confirm once it's done?
Seems like the dealer did do your updates, because you aren't showing much available. There's an APIM update showing for you now, but it is possible that was not there when they updated your truck. This means you will not get many updates others have gotten because they were already done with FDRS.I would appreciate a. Look at my VIN 1FT6W1EV5PWG08719
Took delivery of my 2023 Lightning Lariat ER late April 2023. I had a not completed last month for 6.2 but never saw that complete before the truck successfully completed ECG-24.2.4.9.
I had the dealer apply some updates (where I got the SOC percentage but nothing else I can see) and Ford customer service says I have what I’m supposed to have for Sync but I’m sure I’m missing some Power Ups.
Thanks for taking a look.
Thanks very much for the information and screenshot! I notice many rows under “last updated” were on 23 May 2024. That was the day I first saw the “Not Completed “ message for 6.2 and Priority Update 23-PU11O3-NAT-VCE. Never saw a successful message but apparently a bunch of modules did update after all. The truck was at the dealer on 19 March 2024 and I only see one entry there even though I know they updated a bunch of modules to the tune of about 8 hours (no charge bless their hearts)Seems like the dealer did do your updates, because you aren't showing much available. Ignore that column. That is the last time that particular module reported it's status to the mothership and now when the software itself was updated. Thanks very much for the information and screenshot! I’ve received my Tesla adapter from Ford a few weeks ago, but have not seen the Tesla plug and charge update. Guess I’ll need to find a compatible Tesla supercharger nearby Tucson and give it a whirl.
Thanks again. This was very helpful and guess I’ll stop obsessing over updates.
Well that is unfortunate. I guess I’m not sure what it all means then. Do I take it from the report that all is well and updates will eventually get scheduled and sent from the mothership on Ford’s schedule?Ignore that column. Every module with a green dot means it has an update pending for it.Well that is unfortunate. I guess I’m not sure what it all means then. Do I take it from the report that all is well and updates will eventually get scheduled and sent from the mothership on Ford’s schedule?
Seems the update obsession/confusion returns. The truck has received only one now two OTAs in the little over a year since delivery. (I mistyped earlier…I took delivery 30 March 2023.) It was built over Christmas/New Years and sat in a Phoenix rail yard most of February/March 2023 until the Rouge holding yard battery fire was settled.
Misery loves company I guess. Actually this OTA uncertainty is my biggest complaint with Ford and this vehicle. Love it otherwise. I’ve recommended via the Record Feedback feature that Ford establish an OTA baseline, publish that baseline to owners and work quickly to get every vehicle on that baseline within days or a couple weeks at most.Every module with a green dot means it has an update pending for it.
You are not alone. It is unknown why some vehicles get more updates than others.
You have OTA 6.4.0 sitting in your queue since 7/1, but your truck is not downloading the files for some reason. Also, your truck is reporting an entire boatload of lost comms codes between many modules within the network. Like, A LOT of codes. Any issues with your truck, or is it working fine?@rugedraw can you check my vin please : 1FT6W1EV3PWG39564 I am still on power up 6.2. Thanks
Are you able to see if the dealer has done any updates to my truck since they got it on Monday? Not much you can say, really.
