The truck is designed with all sorts of settings for towing. To not use any of them when towing makes no sense.

As to the GOM, Ford is testing with some Mach-E owners "Intelligent Range". I am part of the test with my 2022. I can tell you that my GOM was hovering close to 224 at 90% before getting the software. It then dropped hugely. I let them know, and they fixed it. It climbed to 206 or so at 90%. I charged last night, and it's now showing 232 at 90%.

Once they get it right, it would be on all the EVs I suspect.

New extended range. Under 700 miles. Est distance to empty @ 100% when purchased as 290M. Now this has dropped significantly to 211M @100%. No loads, no towing. No crazy driving. Hilly environment (equal in up and down though, 1500 ft). Could this be a fault and the verhicle 'thinks' it is not extended range? Will report back after closer inspection with actual miles traveled from full.

It's a GUESS-O-METER. When new, no one had driven it. Multiply your current miles per kWh x the size of the battery. 211 / 132 (if I recall) = 1.6m/kWh

Our Chevy bolt's gom showed anywhere from 120ish miles to 310ish miles. Same car, same battery, different conditions. It took time to figure things out when the weather changed. Aso G as you can make it to your next stop/charge location with range to spare you should be all set. It will take time to figure out how you drive and will adjust accordingly. Your 210 miles is not unreasonable if you are driving in hilly areas and at higher speed.

Don't even try to out guess the guess o meter... Waaayyy too many variables.

I drove our Ioniq 5 in rolling hills at slow speeds on a 20 mile tour in Cape Cod and INCREASED range from 83 miles left to 97 miles.

Battery degradation is really only a thing later in life aka 75k+ miles assuming good charging habits.
Do you charge to 80% on your Ioniq 5? Mine shows 270 miles at 80% based on our normal driving which is mixed highway and in town - all less than 55 mph. I suspect my Lightning will beat the EPA on my normal routes- my lifetime average for F150 2.7L Ecoboost is 23.1 mpg

That is about what we show during summer. To confirm - ours is an AWD Limited with the 20 in wheels. At 100% we showed 314 miles before a recent road trip. Our overall efficiency is 3.2 mi/KW in 7,700 miles but a lot of hwy at 2.9 to 3 and a lot of Feb/Mar cold weather driving. In the summer around town we get 3.8-4.

At 2k miles on the Lightning getting 2.4 mi/KW overall. Just did an almost all hwy trip this morning at 72 mph and got 2.0. 152 miles total at hwy speeds used 54% of the battery. That is solid performance.

My Ioniq 5 is the SEL AWD with 19" wheels. Build date is 7-18-22 for my XLT SR so should have some real numbers to compare soon. How long did it take you to get your Lightning after the build date?

I had Build week of 5/2, then In Production 5/11, Built 5/26 and was at the dealer 6/7. However, in the Buffalo area and only about a 4.5 hr drive from the Rouge plant, so shipment was quick.

That is impressive on the 2.7L - I averaged about 15.5mpg on my and was disappointed (I did have 33" KO2s on it which didn't help). That was running on 91 octane.
