red truck symbol on dash

Does anyone know what this symbol means? It came up on the bottom right of the main dash display for about half a day and then went away. Looks yellow in the picture but was actually red. Almost looks like it is showing the tailgate is down, but it was up the whole time.

Certainly the owners manual will tell you what it means.

But it does look like it's an indicator that the tailgate is down. Maybe it wasn't fully latched or there's a bad switch on the latch.

Page 140 of the manual says it is:

Tailgate Ajar​

Illuminates when the ignition is on and the tailgate is not completely closed.​

I had that the other day - got out to check the tailgate, and when I got back in it was gone. After the latest update, of course.

It’s tailgate down. Mine came on after the 3.4 update. Opening and closing got it back to off when the gate is closed.

Getting Tailgate ajar message and Sensor blocked message. Tailgate appears to be 100% closed and not obstructed.

Not sure what could be blocking the sensor- I’m in FL and only drive paved roads

Yes tried to open/close. Turn off/turn on vehicle and remains. Guess I can try to disconnect battery tomorrow and see if that works

No recent updates- only update was 4.1.1 on 2/1

Looks like you might have a loose harness connection. I believe that harness runs up the left side of the frame. Or schedule a service appointment.
