Maybe the modules that were replaced were the ones potentially subject to this issue, they analyzed the returned modules finding this problem.
Im hoping all the reduced power stop vehicle now warnings were all just symptoms of defective electrode alignment and not anything else. If that is the case, then we should all be happy Ford finally found the problem with the bad modules.

I performed a Pro Power Onboard test today and received an immediate fault. Taking it in Friday to peel the onion back further and see if it's related to the HV Battery electrode misalignment recall.

More than likely not related if you are able to charge to 80 and drive without any wrenches popping up. There is a DC to AC converter for PPO that may be the issue.

By test, do you mean tested the fault detection process or you tried powering your emergency circuits at home?

It was the internal test buried in the features section (Pro Power Onboard)
Then the message you got was ok. That message pops up when you do the ground fault test and it's successful. Message even says that. Has nothing to do with your High Voltage battery.

It's like pressing the test button on a GFI outlet.

This is so confusing & disappointing. Ford stated in March 15, 2023 the cause of the original truck fire was "cathode aluminum tabs contacted the anode electrode material, causing an internal short circuit when the cells were at a high state of charge." The same reason given now for 25S18.

I am thinking that the HV Battery Electrode Misalignment (HVBEM?) potential fire hazard might not be always related to the battery cell/module fails, as some trucks have had module replacements without being listed for this Safety Recall 25S18.

@TaxmanHog do you think a poll asking members whether they are a: 1. 25S18 recall "Winner", 2. 25S18 recall "Winner" and previous module replacements, and 3. "Not a Winner" of this recall 25S18 would be helpful? Is it too late to attach to this thread and would require a new thread?

I can edit this thread to add the poll, give me a few minutes.

UPDATE:
Poll created to essentially ask everyone, listed or not and if they have had module(s) serviced

I have one of the 950 recalled. Limiting charge to 80% stinks. Plus I am not comfortable charging it inside my garage anymore. Unfortunately my wall charger will not reach out to the driveway. I am in talks with ford about sending or reimbursing me for a j1772 extension cable.
We will see how it goes. I have no public charging available in our town unfortunately.

Sorry your facing this. If I have to face this I would also charge outside.

I am using a HD 240v plug for my EVSE, and thought I would use my heavy duty 240v extension cord I have for my 50amp motorhome.

What date was your truck built?

Really, this is terrible. What is FORD offering these 1166 owners (US + Canada) in exchange for telling them to only use 80% of their product for several months waiting while Ford to produce a resolution? After that how long will it be before these 1166 owners will again have a fully functional vehicle?

I propose these 1166 owners given an offer of a instant exchange with a new truck. FORD can then remove/replace the problem cells/packs and sell these used trucks as rebuilds.

Just approve BEV loaners.

How do I find my build date? We ordered it new and pick it up July 2023.
