The "Silent Mode" setting allows you to tell the truck not to respond to anyone's approach. It won't turn on puddle lights, rear lights, the light bar, interior lights (except one), etc.
This has to be enabled in Forscan (at least on my 2023 Lariat it did). I don't have Forscan running at the moment, but I believe the setting was available in one of the pre-configured settings so it doesn't even require editing modules' hex codes. If someone else has recently found this mode in Forscan and would be willing to provide the specifics, that would be helpful to others.

Here's a video of me approaching the truck with my key. Silent mode is toggled off.

I toggle on Silent Mode:

Then I lock the truck, walk away, and then return a short time later, with the key.

I'm going to have to look for this silent mode setting when I try to work my way through the ForScan chages for my ACC/LKA mod this weekend. This could come in handy!

Let us know where you find it? The spreadsheet by LivinItUp has the information for all of the several modules, but I suspect it's possible to get it wrong if you don't find all the settings.

@SpaceEVDriver , did you find this setting randomly or from an online source. My forum searches and Internet searches come up empty. Trying to find which module to look in to narrow down the search.

If I remember correctly, I knew it existed from something on this forum but it wasn't at all clear where the setting was, so I was trolling Forscan looking for it (you can sort alphabetically). I want to say it's under the APIM or BCM plain english settings, but I'm not at all certain of that.

It would simply be amazing if the truck responded consistently. With this on, my truck only recognizes and approach about 30% of the time and rarely when it is truly needed out in a dark parking lot.

There is a setting further down in the Lighting section called Welcome Lighting that is is supposed to toggle approach lighting on/off. Is this different than that?

I could imagine a true campground setting that would keep the truck dark when also unlocking or opening a door for example (as opposed to just approaching).

This is different and more akin to a "true campground" setting. With the "Silent Mode" on, as seen in the second video, I can get into the vehicle with only the IPC dimly lighting up. No other lights come on.

With the welcome lighting turned off, we still get a lot of light when opening the door, for example.

I remember this "silent mode" also known as "police car mode" is / was available for Ford Fusions / Mondeos and also for the Ford Mach E Mustang.

I'm pretty convinced the software control modules are generally similar if not the same across the Ford fleet. By deduction, this should also be available for the Lightning. I suggest looking for "police car mode" in ForScan settings.

Perfect. Once we have the setting nailed down, I will add to the FORScan mods thread.

Silent Mode is perhaps related, but shows up as a different option in Forscan. I tried the police mode and it did not accomplish what I was looking for. I made these changes some time ago and I don't remember the specifics of why I wasn't satisfied with the police mode. I like Silent Mode better for my use-case, which is to be able to approach, unlock, enter, exit, and lock the vehicle without a bunch of lights or noises.

It's been entirely consistent for me. Not sure what's different for you.
