The truck is taking the window performance update right now and it sounds like a freaking buzz saw!

It’s loud, like I heard it from my back yard loud.

My update was done in 15 min. By the time I went inside talk to the kids and wife, I came back out by the truck and it was done. So I didn't experience that sound. Didn't hear anything as well from inside my house. All I know is when I left the car at the beginning of the update everything was quiet.

Same for me today, buzzing noise during DDM-25.12.0 door module software updates.

Just installed this update - was excited when I saw one waiting (was hoping it was BC 1.4) but at least I know OTA updates are working still.

Normal but WTH is it? What is actually happening?
Not sure myself, other members have speculated that it's servos, relays, pumps, diverter valves actuating in a maniacal fail safe mode.

I've been told it's the coolant circulating pump operating at the max possible speed as a failsafe to prevent anything from overheating while updating.

This seems the most likely answer but now I'm wondering if it just didn't do this would we even need the power supply!?

For those that have the update and have witnessed the noise, how long did this go on for?
Thank you in advanced for your responses.

Sounds like an angry pack of bumble bees. Manually updated a platinum Saturday and it vibrated the seats the entire time.
You did the update via FDRS and it made the noise??
