Stick to Rotary Shift Knob Conversion w/ 3D Printed Rotary Shifter Holder

I absolutely LOVE the final result of the rotary shift conversion in my 24 Lariat! I've seen a few different variations of this mod including cutting a hole in the dash and mounting it next to the steering wheel. I was planning on going that route but had trouble building the wiring harness. At the end of the day I'm glad I did because what I have now looks like just as OE as the dash mount, I still gain use of the workspace when in gear, the truck could be put back to original quickly and easily, the install literally too less than 20 minutes!! The first photo of the knob installed is in the raw finish how it arrives to you. I ended up hitting mine with a few coats of filler primer, doing a little sanding, and a final coat of trim black just to help it "blend in" a little. But I'm OCD like that. It totally looks good enough to run as-is.

Nice job with the finish, looks great. I've never had a complain with the shifter but that looks really nice. If the install is that simple, that's a very affordable mod.

I'll be interested to see how it handles the summer. Can get over 140F interior temp in the summer here. PETG is pretty heat tolerant I think, ABS would be better but is way harder to print.

Does the connector plug right into the existing wiring harness? If there is no wiring modification needed I might consider this.

Yes. No modifications whatsoever. Direct plug and play

Curious about this, and how this plays with overall warranty.

Dropped it off at the dealer 2 days ago for parking sensor false warnings and interior lights that won't turn off. (Has been an issue long before any mods) They are saying that they think the interior lights are due to a bad BCM!!! (But they also say that they can't guarantee that's the problem) So they have a new BCM (Backordered of course) and overhead console switch panel ordered.


Side note.... being lowered 2/5, 24" wheels, and rotary shifter mod was never brought up as an issue.

What does the M button do? I figured P would be in the center instead.

It takes the place of the "N" button for extended neutral.
