I printed the "big ass cup" version in Sunlu high speed pla just to see if I liked that design. I wasn't as concerned with quality, so I printed on sport (124% speed) on my P1S and it came out surprisingly nice. I had the walls at 4 with adaptive cubic infill and it is stronger than my original ASA version with 2 walls. I know I can't keep this long term, because summer will be problematic here in Texas. I'll print another one in PETG this time since I had some delivered yesterday.

I attached the 3mf zipped if anyone wants it. It is tilted at ~39 degrees and I set the supports on tree(auto) with a threshold angle of 40. I also set brim at inner/outer 30 width.

I highly encourage you all to tip the designer @ENDianDigital on the Thingiverse page. I know with my various prints that I went through a lot of filament and time. I can only imagine the amount of both that went into designing and testing this.

EDIT: Here is a pic of it installed along with the matching TPU mat. I re-used the ASA shifter box cover from my previous print. The original version I printed broke in a few places when removing it, so it definitely needed to be replaced. This print ended up being a lot better with the extra walls.

I have a carbon fiber build plate coming later today and plan on printing the shifter cover in it. I saw a pic earlier in the thread and it looked nice. Might even redo the TPU in that.

If anyone has a shifter laying around, uninstalled, would you mind measuring the height / thickness of the various parts. Mine wont arrive for some time and I was hoping to test out some ideas in the meantime.

I assume the rectangular dimensions is roughly 100x80mm since that's the opening in the design.

Been working on and waiting to get these portions done: rotary shifter and the cupholder/glove/media lights (appreciate your harnesses, @JHForman812 !).

My goal for the front cubby of the shifter was to integrate a magsafe holder for my iPhone (including passthrough of the usb cable from the media bin to cubby). I was using one of the ac vent magsafe holders until now and I dont trust them; I broke one of the vent slats on a work truck F150 and couldnt seem to find where I would be content.

The magsafe location also needed to be able to remove (or stow) for the center console work station when FDRS/FORScan programming.

Thanks to @Drayday55 & @asianman35 for getting me some options . This one in use is Dray's carbon/petg which I primered and painted. I have a few nicks on the upper edge right to touch up and I really need to get a mat for the bottom cubby to cover the bolt hole.

I had to trim the bottom of the magsafe holder to align the way it did (vs protruding up a bit). Also, drilling the passthrough & screw holes. This is aluminum, BTW.

I finally got around to trying out the carbon fiber build plate for the rotary cover and I like it. It gives it less of a 3d printed look. This is in PLA just like the box for this print. Will attempt the main box in PETG (textured plate) when I have time.

A few note to anyone trying to print their own shifter holder bin on a 256x256 printer such as the X1 or P1 series printer.

It will fit, If you download the angled 3mf file from the files section, that is a good start.
Also, from what I can tell, the oval shaped feature, that the whole print is "balanced on" in that orientation, serves no purpose on the installed part, so I just z-shifted that feature into the bed until other features also were 1mm or so sunk into the bed. This allows the slicer to add a good sized brim to the parts of the tray that contact the bed and stabilizes the part better than just the supports holding it up like the .3mf file shows. You do have to re-autolocate the part on the bed after sinking it for some reason. I've also found it to be more comfortable to slow the printer down (silent mode on a P1S) for the first 1/2" or so of the print, unitl all of the various bits get merged togather as the print progresses. Once the disparate bits are merged, I set the speed back to standard. I may slow it down again when the flange start to pring on the supports, unitl it prints together with the main part, just to be safe, and maybe again slow it down at the very top when the time between layers gets very short.
I forgot to mention that for some reason for me, the current version of Orca Slicer seems to want to skip the brim on this part, even if manually defined, I switched back over to Bambu Studio for this part and the brims work much better for some reason.
