I have an account with Tesla and the Tesla app.
I added my Lightning to my Tesla account and I can initiate supercharging of my Lighting via the Tesla app. I never bothered to set up charging through my Ford app.
Does anyone know if there is a price difference between one account or the other? Did Ford negotiate cheaper rates with Tesla?
Anyone else have both accounts ?

Lol, If I set up a Ford account also,
could I possibly get charged by both party’s when I Supercharge !

As of now, NO special rates for Fordpass users on the Blue Oval Charging Network, if you want discounted rates you need to buy in to Tesla's discounted rate program for a monthly fee payable to Tesla via their app.

Be sure to use the Tesla app to activate the terminal you're at, you will be charged only by Tesla.

I just did a 1,200 mile round trip for Christmas, and I signed up for EA and Tesla’s discount membership. Tesla consistently had better pricing at around $0.36/kWh.

Tesla will likely to keep the price advantage for Tesla owners. Allowing a Ford App discount would mean collecting less Tesla membership fees from us and Selling less Teslas.

I‘d also like to know if Tesla pricing is the same, or more, for my Lightning to charge vs. my Tesla, on the same account.
And, the original question, are they charging the same, or more, for FordPass vs Tesla App on Tesla Superchargers ?

Around here I believe it is the same for non-Tesla vehicles either way. Ford doesn't charge a premium vs the Tesla app. Your Tesla is probably cheaper. But they don't publish Tesla owner prices so that's hard to tell. I honestly don't know if they price it any differently for a non-Tesla who is also a Tesla owner. I've never heard of that so I doubt it, but can't confirm.

As noted, you can get a discount (20-25% around here) for a non-Tesla if you pay the monthly subscription and use the Tesla app to activate the charger. But "regular price" is the same either way for non-Tesla vehicles. So if you're not doing the subscription you might as well just use plug & charge and bill through Ford for the convenience. Then you don't need any app.

Personally and from most of the forum members, the Tesla membership for no Tesla vehicle owners is $13.99 monthly fee. You can only use V3 and V4 site stations. The 250KWH and above. The V2 sites with 150KWH capability is only available to Tesla owners.
Since the Tesla network was available to Ford EVs, I had a chance to talk to few Tesla owners. It seems that they have special perks on what model of Tesla vehicles they operate.
Be mindful that Tesla will and can change their rates and model any time they see fit. Change is the “ NORM “ with Tesla. $13.99 is the monthly fee to use the network and it is flawless. It works and is reliable. The rest, as of now at least for me, are just backups.

I haven't installed my level 2 at home yet so I'm charging enough times per month at Tesla chargers to make the monthly subscription with Tesla worth it.

In Wisconsin the Tesla stations are around $0.51/kWh without subscription (same price in FordPass as Tesla app), and $0.35/kWh with subscription. Monthly subscription is $12.99, so just one charge from 10%-80% makes it worth it.

I use the Tesla app to activate the charger and then plug in using the A2Z Typhoon Pro adapter. I have over 20 charges now with zero issues. Even before I subscribed I still used the Tesla app to activate the charger as the FordPass auto connect rarely worked for me.

I've had no issues finding a charging stall (usually an end stall) so I don't block any other stalls. I've also had good experiences charging with a trailer in a massive Target parking lot where I'm not blocking any other traffic / stalls. Ford, please keep the charging port in the front on next gen trucks so we don't have to unhitch!

Tesla chargers just work and have consistently provided the fastest charge rates. I can't say the same for the other chargers I've tried in the Milwaukee area (Ford, EA, Blink).

Ford F-150 Lightning Tesla app vs Ford app, which is cheaper Supercharger rate? 1000003310

I can't answer the price question, but speed seemed comparable on my first FordPass fill up. Main benefit to Ford seems to be being able to just pull up and charge by plugging in. No need to fiddle with the app, or risk bad network connection. I went from 37% charge to 71% charge in 22min, so averaged 123kw/h at around 20 degrees F. Station was completely full. Tesla App chargers haven't been much, if any, faster than that on my first 5 supercharger visits (same cold weather).
