Tesla "destination chargers" are all level-2. What rate they can charge at will vary by the installation, but the majority of them out there are the 2nd-generation Tesla wall charger unit, which can share multiple on a 100A circuit. Technically they can charge up to 19kW (80A) but most seem to be locked to 40 or 48 Amps (9.6kW and 11.5kW, respectively). Not that I've tried many, but the two at my bank I've used a couple times and I can get 80A there if I'm the only one plugged in, as the two share a 100A circuit and they let the units run with it.I bought one for my 2022 EV6 Wind. A Tesla Tap w/pigtail. Bought it, left it in the car, and have never used it. Don't even know if it works. I should go to a parking garage or something where they have a Tesla Destination charger and just see if it works. A lot of them used to be free, but I think they're under 10 kW are they not?
So, to OP, when you buy a Tesla to J1772 adapter, be sure to get one that is rated appropriately for your Lightning. Which means one that can handle 19kW/80A if your Lightning supports it. TelsaTap, A2Z and Lectron all make adapters that do this.
