So i have a tesla adapter coming this week from a member. Since im planning to see family in south jersey im planning to take the lightning. So if im activated on oval plan, and i have a tesla member subscription. When i go to charg the lightning, will i be billed both or just tesla app? Is there something to be done before i charge? Thanks

I would disable the plug and charge and just use the Tesla app so you benefit from the reduced membership rate.

If you activate the charger through the Tesla app first, it will use your membership. Plug-n-charge will still work, ie. You don't have to disable it.

If you just plug in, you won't get the special member pricing. The same is true for EA and other networks.

I've seen several people mention that they were charged by Ford instead of the Tesla app. Maybe just a hiccup in the Tesla app so ymmv. Then again, Ford sucks at software so bad that I couldn't disable plug and charge if I wanted to. Says it's off but is actually enabled which seems to be a common issue.

I kinda like this idea incase of emergency i dont wanna scramble for credit info to proceed, im also concerned like other members mentioned to be charged double. Ill give this a try. Thanks
