Imagine being in an Aptera surrounded by Rivians, Lightnings and Cybertrucks with drivers on their smart phones.
Probably not too different from just riding a motorcycle in traffic. A nice loud horn is a requirement.

You are correct. At 800 lbs it is pretty much the same.

I have Saturn Sky Redline. Even Sedan’s sometimes don’t see me because of a slight height difference when I am next to them. They often run right into me with a sudden lane change. I have been lucky enough that I have had enough space to barely avoid getting hit in most cases and in one case I had to run into the curb and blow my tire (with no spare) to avoid getting hit. In none of those cases, there was enough time for a horn to make a difference.

Watch the brake lights. They are not on when the first crash occurs and then are intermittent. Impressive that they got it on the side…
That may also be the hazard lights coming on automatically from the initial collision. I suspect the driver's foot is on the accelerator, or they were using ACC to be lazy in line, or both.

Never had that happen in my S2000 while I had it, it's about the same size as the Sky I think. I originally wanted to get the Sky, much prefer it's appearance, but a friend convinced me the engine in the S2000 was better and would be more fun. 9k rpm was neat, but I kinda regret not getting the Sky instead.

Just drive with the horn on all the time... Then they'd notice you.

You were stepping on both.

The brake pedal pushes on a physical cylinder that compresses brake fluid into the brake cylinders of each wheel, compressing the brake pads against the disks on each wheel. No different than the brakes of any car built in the last 40 years. It is physically impossible for the the brake pedal to not actuate braking pressure on the wheels.

If the F150, or any other vehicle, accelerates when you step on the brake, then you're stepping on the wrong pedal or both pedals. Virtually every incidence of "it accelerated when I was stepping on the brake" is stepping on not the brake.

There are use cases for stepping on both on purpose. Mainly for traction purposes, forcing the open or limited slip differential to apply power to both wheels when one is on ice or mud. This is also going to make the traction control kick in, which sounds like what you are describing.
But isn't the Lightning a brake-by-wire system?

AZ must have better drivers. It is a zoo in my state. I am driving much more defensively now and do not spend any time next to anyone except for quick passes. S2000 sounds like a lot of fun.

My wife does not get in the Sky but loves the Lightning so Sky has been eating dust since we go to a lot of places together. I have to decide between the sky and Lightning for a solo trip to Canada. I am leaning toward Lightning for Comfort and mainly because I have never had a DCFC trip and after more than a year of ownership, I need the education. Even though I have made this 500 mile trip many many times, it feels like preparing to go to the moon. I waited to get my adapter so it should not be too bad even with SR battery. I guess I will find out. I just had the 10K service and all the recalls (CSPs) taken care of so I am hoping nothing goes wrong while I am there. I have no idea how it would work with Canadian Ford Service but I have heard Tesla superchargers should work OK with my American account.

I have gone way off topic. Better stop before I get kicked out.

ACC engages for me accidentally more frequently than I would like. I’m not even quite sure how. I don’t use it often enough to have left it on, and I don’t think I’ve hit the button..but apparently I do.

Definitely more than one occasion where it’s surged only for me to slam on the brakes then look down to see it’s activated.
Does ACC not turn off when you tap the brakes? I thought this was how it worked on my Fusion, but I haven't done much driving in my Lightning, so maybe they changed it?

I think there's some level of that, but not sure how much. I don't believe there is a scenario where pressure from your foot would not translate to pressure in the pipe. And I believe it is failsafe to direct cylinder pressure?

ACC goes into cancel when you tap the brake or tap the cancel/resume button.

It cancels it, doesn’t turn it off. When you look down you can see the crossed out speed, that’s how I know the surge was ACC.

I’m usually in a parking lot, post turn when it engages so I must be hitting it with my palms in my turns. A quick jab of the brakes stops it but I can see how someone can be in shock/panic and just slam on the accelerator.

If any non owner of these trucks ever questioned the power this truck has well here it is, that's a whack of cars it pushed and with some serious force!

and to be honest, the truck looks like she could just clean her self up with a car wash!
