On a recent trip with our Mach-E, I activated membership with Tesla to get the discount. I then made sure Plug & Charge was turned off.

Twice, the Tesla session failed, but Plug & Charge kicked in. You only know this when the Tesla app is not showing the charge in process. And yes, I got charged full price.

Today I used Ford's "Text an EV Expert". Nope. Call the BEV team.
Called the BEV team. They opened a case, working on a refund. They said Connected Services can turn it off.
Connected Services said "nope, we don't do that, let me transfer you to...". Marketing picked up the phone...
She transferred me to FordPass. They gave me an incorrect interpretation of the issue, then I was disconnected.
I called them back.
She took the information to "escalate it". 6 people, none that could simply turn it off.

IIRC I pulled up to charger, started Tesla app, entered charger number then plugged in. Charge came from Tesla, not Ford.
This was over a month ago and I forget what I had for lunch yesterday.

Edit: Yep, just checked VISA bill and the charge was from Tesla. Charger was in Breezewood beside Dunkin Donuts.

Yup. BUT, if it fails, and Plug & Charge is enabled, Ford takes over. And since there is no option to turn off Plug & Charge in the Android version of FordPass...

So I just looked in my iOS app. Looks like in 5.10 they redesigned the Connected Services section. Looks completely different. At the top there is an "ad" for Premium Connectivity, then this:

When I click Blue Oval, I do get a cancel button, do you not have that or you saying it doesn't work?

I can't change the settings.

Same, from my android version 5.10.0 of Ford Pass.

I've sent in a bug report via email and Playstore one star review with comments, y'all can do the same to make this a priority escalation & fix.

What ticks me off is that I went through 6 people at Ford, and no one could say "Fred in this department can turn it off on our side". You know Fred is the guy...

I'm not sure that disabling Plug-N-Charge would solve this issue, as the truck is certainly looking at a charging session activation at the moment you plug ANY connector into the charge port... "PLUG N CHARGE" as actually an additional 'feature', and is purely to resolve having to do anything other than plugging in at a DC Fast Charge location, at least one that has this activation protocol with Ford. EA stations would be the other locations.

Now, as to why the Tesla APP activation did not work, then the truck defaulted to it's OWN billing method, is probably on Tesla's side, not Fords. With Tesla Superchargers, other than hearing the spool-up of power, you really only have one or two other ways to 'know' it is charging: Your vehicle on-screen readout, or your APP, whether Tesla, or Ford.

Additionally, on some vehicles, like our KIA EV9, you actually find that you don't know HOW to STOP the charge: there is no button on the Supercharger unit. There is no 'Stop Charge' within the vehicle, or it's APP, and the only method seems to be some obscure lower button within the Charge Port, with some type of icon, that apparently does the trick. It took some time to find this. Maybe you can also disable charging by pressing the top button on the handle of the NACS cable... who knows.

It would work because Ford would refuse the charge authorization to Tesla.
