no. Itā€™s miserable. They force you to instead use the sh*t app.

FOB opens frunk / tailgate instead

That's crazy, I guess they didn't want to redesign the key fob so we got a frunk instead. Should be able to tap the lock button 3 times to start.

Thanks Chris for the offer but today I just received notice the truck is at the dealer and we hope to pick it up Thursday! 503 days since we did that preorder but who is counting ;) Cheers.

Does anyone have the scales or smart hitch appear in Ford Pass? I have in the Lightning Sync 4A but do not see anywhere in "Features and Settings" under Vehicle tab.

You have probably figured out that the App has those features, if you ordered them and did not have a "delete"!

When I test drove a 2023 Lariat a couple months ago, the sales rep said that Lightnings comes with a tracker (similar to Lojack) where you can instantly track where it's at at any time and if it were to get stolen, you can alert police and find your truck. I've never heard of this after reading in these forums for about a year now. Is this true about our Lightnings or maybe that particular truck hade a Lojack installed, or maybe he was blowing smoke the whole time.

Has anyone heard of this feature?

My FordPass app shows me where the truck is at all times if that is what you are referring to.

So, I could go to my app and ALWAYS know the location of the truck?

Nice. :D

Iā€™m afraid itā€™s too close to call with even the smallest option you described above. I tried a few bigger boxes such as this 25ā€ X 17.5ā€ X 19.25ā€ and it wouldnā€™t get close to closing.

I went way down in size (height-wise) to this box at 24ā€ X 18ā€ X 17.5ā€

Now, this box did allow the frunk to close but I think only by *slightly* compacting the top of the box. I say this because, when I would press the button to *open* the frunk, there was a noticeable initial jump and pop of the lid opening that first inch or so, not present when ordinarily opening the frunk. So, for a box of these lid dimensions and this specific 17.5ā€ height, there is almost no margin for error and in fact ā€œfittingā€ may require an 1/8thā€ or more (?) compression of this box.

Notably, this size and lid shape needed to also be situated *just so* in the frunk, to fit the minor recess in the frunkā€™s upper lid deck, as hopefully shown by these two photos in combination:

Accordingly, your smallest posted option above is so close in dimensions, it is likely to require an actual fitment test to find the answer. (Perhaps the good news is, if it does fit, I would not expect it to slide around at all!)

FYI, while I was at this I took a few pictures of the larger box (19.25ā€ tall) in the back of my truck in case helpful to your visualizing fit of the larger unit under a tonneau (bare in mine I have a 1/4-1/3ā€ bed mat down under the box):

As an aside, not until this had I seen this little molded ā€œEaster eggā€ of two golf bags - Which made me think to myself, ā€œkeep your golf bags away from my pickup truckā€

I knew I wouldn't be the first, but I only saw the golf bag Easter egg a week or so back. Snapped a pic of it. I didn't recall it being talked about and in 6 months I had not noticed it on my truck, but there it is.

Sam's club has these and it fits perfectly. I was delivering BBQ dinners to my job work mates.
