I don't care what temp it is, if Jesse's there I'll drive my SR down from Tulsa, even if I have to charge 3 times,, LOL.

I remember in the winter of 22 I drove to DFW area for the first time, headed back in a winter storm with Northern headwinds of like 30mph and temps in the single digits. I think I was getting like 1.1mi/kWhr even driving 55mph,, LOL. That is when I started my love/hate relationship with Francis Energy :(
Maybe we could meet in the Arlington area that would be halfway between Dallas and Fort Worth.
@Jesse-Infotainment would you be up for coming to the next meet and greet?

I'll meet anywhere but my new rule is the temp has to be at or above my age. So looks like April at the earliest. Or knowing Texas, probably next week!

-Two years ago my age was the same as the year I was born (last two digits).

oh Francis. Gotta love them and hate them. The one at Davis, OK on 35 is the most consistent, but it almost left me stranded once too. I make 5-6 trips to Shawnee every year.

Maybe we should see if @Jesse-Infotainment would want to join us at a meet and greet. We can sell autographs, charge for pictures and have a drawing for one future "Save a Lightning" after updates go wrong. All somewhat serious about that.

Sorry for the thread take over, but the OP's truck is fixed, so we might as well have a little fun on this snowy night in DFW. That doesn't happen very often.
yea, It's pretty much full on snow cover in Tulsa right now. I had a lot of fun in the Lowes parking lot after work today on my way home. If you turn on your rear locker, turn off traction control, you can do some sick donuts. Just be careful, I totally ruined one of my rims on a curb in 22', sliding around in my neighborhood with my kids, I won't make that mistake again.

And when you need traction these trucks are awesome too. I've pulled so many people out in both winter and summer mud it's crazy. I have also backed down into a creek with my tailgate touching the water to unload kayaks and pulled out without slipping at all. Never in my life have I had a truck with this good of performance in 4wd.

There are two possible answers. One is 11 years old (Two years ago in 2022, someone born in 2011 would be 11 years old)

1. this is 2025
2. You are quite prolific for a 12-year-old!
3. The old adage: the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.
4. I know I act like a 12-year-old a lot of the time!

Yeah. I would.. I would like to meet the people.. I have had the great fortune over the years to meet several great people that have driven from all over to hve me fix their issues the dealers couldnt. A lot of Blue Cruise issues.

I remember when the Power Boost had a BCM update straight from Ford Bricking them. I had to fix 20 of them remotely. COuld have been more. I had to fix them for dealers and people that had done the update.

So if there is ever a meet and great around me or close by let me know. Would love to meet everyone that I could.

Ford needs to hire you. Seems you have more knowledge than a lot of the people Ford has working behind the scenes.

Doubt Ford would ever lower their standards for someone like myself

Im not an actual engineer. So I dont meet the qualifications to be anything of any importance. It had been talked about at some point.

You could probably make a decent buck as a "consultant" for a local dealer. If I were running a service dept and knew of your existence, I'd 100% want you as my "phone a friend" contact and would happily pay you for your time.

Absolutely NOT!

He would be ruined having to abide by Fords rules if engagement.

If Ford hired him he wouldn't be allowed to be useful. I don't know if it's because of the dealer system or if the lawyers are just super conservative but anytime I've ever gotten help from an actual Ford employee it was a hush, hush, "don't tell anyone about this" situation.

I've mentioned this before in other spaces but I'll say it again. Ford has several enthusiast brands with a loyal following online, F150, Bronco, Mustang, and the EVs. They could nurture that loyalty by putting employees who are empowered to answer questions on the forums dedicated to their products. It is ridiculous that I know more about my truck, in certain instances, than anyone at a dealership or Ford who is actually allowed to talk to me.
