Yea, this is quite a doozy,, should be plenty of BCM's available in TX soon though:

Yeah, that was from snowmageddon a few years ago. I think that video was in Fort Worth. Many people here do not know how to drive when it ices or snows or both!
My vehicle has no problem going 60-80mph…. then realize they need to stop-duh🙈
…or what black ice is!
… A little common sense goes a long way!

Tweaks to asbuilt settings are one thing. Module updates using FORSCAN are not something I would consider doing.
I have wondered once or twice if Forscan with a reliable interface like a Mongoose might be a way around the BCM update restrictions in FDRS. But never enough to risk it without a positive report on updates via Forscan from someone else. And even then maybe only if it was a specific report of success updating the BCM.

I'm really glad I met @Jesse-Infotainment . Remotely solved it. Speechless.

My hands are too cold to type righ tnow from the cold here. Thanks everyone for the tips and guidance. It's back up and running after trying a lot of things. Last thing was the screen flickering and then it went totally black. Clicked the ignition and turned right on. Going to bed easier tonight!

That’s fantastic. I would have bet real money that it couldn’t be solved remotely.

@Jesse-Infotainment achieved Legend status this week!

Also, more details please!
He achieved Legend status long before this week. It is just the Lightning crowd is getting to see it first hand.

Y'all don't know how lucky I think I am just to live in the same metro area as he does .... just in case I were to ever need it. However the key is he repeatedly shows how he can do it remotely just as well.

Hopefully, we can do another meet and greet when it warms up again!

I don't care what temp it is, if Jesse's there I'll drive my SR down from Tulsa, even if I have to charge 3 times,, LOL.

I remember in the winter of 22 I drove to DFW area for the first time, headed back in a winter storm with Northern headwinds of like 30mph and temps in the single digits. I think I was getting like 1.1mi/kWhr even driving 55mph,, LOL. That is when I started my love/hate relationship with Francis Energy :(

oh Francis. Gotta love them and hate them. The one at Davis, OK on 35 is the most consistent, but it almost left me stranded once too. I make 5-6 trips to Shawnee every year.

Maybe we should see if @Jesse-Infotainment would want to join us at a meet and greet. We can sell autographs, charge for pictures and have a drawing for one future "Save a Lightning" after updates go wrong. All somewhat serious about that.

Sorry for the thread take over, but the OP's truck is fixed, so we might as well have a little fun on this snowy night in DFW. That doesn't happen very often.
