I agree with your prediction. Give s the west coast customers time to get out of bed. I am headed to the dealer at 8:30 eastern
this makes sense!! I wish Ford just tells us what wave we are and if we made the cut! And have a stand by list, as people drop out people move up. They don’t do this because they pick and choose the First people such as celebrities etc… fingers crossed nonetheless

I don’t think you have the option of just doing it all online, from what it sounds like, you have to go to the dealer unlike previous orders like the Bronco/MachE. I think the reason they are doing this is so there will be no surprises come delivery time. You sign your order agreement on the spot.

But...

If you order online you will not be able to have order form signed by dealer (making it a contract) locking in purchase price and any verbal "No ADM". Also, there will need to be paid $1,000 deposit somehow. Remember the horror stories from MME about dealers breaking promises later.
The online order will show the amount of ADM that the dealer is applying. The additional deposit will be collected as part of the online order process. The "somehow" will be the same as the "somehow" that was used to collect the $100 reservation deposit. The horror stories from MME orders usually involved people not paying attention to the order information that was staring them in the face. It's 2022 for crying out loud.

My dealer's GM had called Monday and said we'd finalized it all online, I'd submit the order and he can accept it remotely. We'd chat on the phone and good to go. I don't plan to drive to the dealership until he calls and says its here.

Considering 99.75% of times when the dealer is like "oh you gotta come in person to finish this" they're usually up to no good, or trying to upsell you. Just saying: ask yourself why others can finalize online, but apparently you can't ; )

My sales guy was very adamant about coming in and getting a copy of my wet-ink signature sales agreement which can only be done if it's done offline. He's been so helpful so far I don't really mind I guess. There is not really anything to see at all for tracking purposes until you get your VIN of which Ford is supposed to e-mail when it's scheduled for production even outside of the online system (which is when the VIN is usually generated).

I am not sure when/if I will get a MY22, but I will be sure to get something in writing regardless. With the outrages prices they (other dealerships) are overcharging, I would be rather be safe than sorry.

Sounds like...so far so good for ya. Thanks for sharing your experiencing thus far. ?I've heard nothing from mine except no ADM which I've asked them repeatedly about just to verify.

Don’t know Ford‘s production schedule. Will depend upon trim and options that are selected and any constraints that may pop up.

When are the Wave 1 email invitations coming out?

Really??? He can't sign a piece of paper unless you bypass Ford's order process?

Starting in the summer. Being in the first wave of order invites does not guarantee that you'll get your truck in the first wave of trucks.

Yea I am not saying I am super happy with it but I was complaining about making sure it was sold at MSRP and he said come on in and we'll get real signatures done. I found it hard to argue after that.
