I was looking for a charger for my wife’s plug-in hybrid. We have solar and I like our Wallbox Plus for my Lightning. I’m not using my FCSP as I normally just charge during the day to utilize our solar panels.

Yeah I used their contact us and got that it’ll be sold in the US later this year. It appears to be based off their 16-48 amp charger. It states it’ll be 11.5kw charging, which is basically 48amps. Just thought it would be an option for people looking at something other than Ford/SunRun’s solution.

Yes, the Ford product to be fully functional will require almost every home to have an expensive upgrade.

The few options out there will also be difficult for most. Going to a DC charger only bypasses the internal chargers.

The best option for most folks is just a normal evse and use the power out from bed or frunk.

My house is on it's own transformer and they just went up to 8Kv on line so there is a bit there for me to use but getting it off that transformer won't be cheap. New everything.

Places like my mothers house won't be able to increase at all. 8 houses on one transformer equals zero extra.
