What proven device allows to watch Netflix/other phone apps.

I am looking for a 3rd party device to plug either Bluetooth or USBc so I can watch TV, YouTube while charging. Please do comment on legal issues tied....just looking for a device that works with Ford Lightning.

You can use your phone as a hotspot. There are also some apps you can get for android auto.

Assuming you want to watch stuff on your truck display and not your phone. There's a device called MMB that might be what you're looking for. Basically a dongle that allows you to use streaming apps on your built in display. I think it hooks up to your phones data via hotspot or you can put in a SIM card. This is what I bought (NA version) after seeing a comment on here.. Works great, but there does seem to be a possible spyware app installed. Some weird random app (I think it was like a drawing app or LED app) had permissions to view my screen.

You need a Car AI box to plug in to the USB c under the display. I've tested a few and this is the one that works almost perfectly.

I have CarLink and it works great. You can download any streaming app you can on Android. Plays when in motion too.

There are a lot. As long as it works with CarPlay then it will work in the Lightning. How good they are that’s another story. lol.

I have CarLinKit UHD and SYNC 4a and it is awesome. I run Car Scanner so I know exactly what my truck is doing at all times. Ford software sucks so bad I hated not knowing why it was behaving the way it was. Now I know why.

Sorry for my ignorance here. Do you need anything ODB device to get that info you shared? And what app allows you to view that data on your dash screen? Does it require a carlink device? Thx

Also picked up the Carlin Ai Box, works great. It's handy to be able to run other apps as well that don't work with Android Auto (or at least won't display to the big screen) like some OBDII apps.
