Hands Free is the upgrade from CC with LK that our 2020 Ford has with no subscription fee.
On highways, I still have to watch the road and I like resting my hands on the wheel.
I see no advantage to paying for BC.
My wife's 23 Honda hybrid crv has adaptive cruise control and lane centering. You can let go of the wheel for 15 seconds or so.

My flash with BC 1.2 living in Los Angeles I was lucky to get 30 seconds before it warned me or turned off. These are not rural roads. These are some of the most traveled highways in the country.

Between adaptive CC and Lane centering, hands free 1.2 is not that much of an improvement, at least not in Los Angeles.

I enjoy BlueCruise, itā€™s a fun feature and it works well for interstate driving. Itā€™s been my first experience with hands free driving & I love it!
That being said, I donā€™t use it enough to pay for it. And after buying a $90K truck, I find it very annoying that I will lose the BlueCruise feature.

I got 3 years free with my Lariat.
I use it quite frequently on one way 175 +/- mile trips to my company's branch office. Almost 100% is on I-95. Also use it on trips from Wash, DC to Niagara Falls. Several sections of interstate BlueCruise works.

I would like to keep it, but it will depend on price & whether or not we ever get an update(s).

I am okay it doesn't work on a lot of "side roads". I don't expect it to be self-driving.

I love the self driving features of all of my cars. I may drive for 40 miles on the expressway and it is worth it to me to have the feature. The bad part of it is we still have one vehicle that does not have any self driving features, and I hate driving it. You have to fight with the wind and other obstacles and I have to remember to stop when those in front do.I still have another month of free, then I will have to go to work on the CFO.

I am a fan of any technology that makes the dangerous act of driving multi-ton metal boxes of death safer for all involved. I don't believe they should be "extra features" and should be standard in every vehicle ever made. Paying more is just our rotten market-driven obsession to further divide the haves and the have-nots.

Having said that, Blue Cruise is awesome and I won't drive a vehicle for the rest of my life without something like it. Stupid not to; the old adage "vote with your wallet" applies, even as our wallets continue to shrink every day šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

I need to sample the new software before I decide to renew, they've got 6 months until my 3 year trial expires, if it expires and I haven't gotten the update .....then it's a hard NO!

BTW, I used it for the first time in about a month, and through the year that's about the frequency that I would use it, cost & benefit are out of balance as others mentioned.

No, mainly due to the lack of updates and cost. If they offered a monthly $5 for the month I'd use it when taking a road trip though.

Hells to tha YES, I would. I love BC, and use it every day. I also get why only occasional use might prove too expensive for some.
I love sitting in that comfy living-room on wheels with some great tunes, and letting something else take on part of the task.

I've been using BC1.4 for a couple months and it's a game changer for me. It's not a great value but I use it every time I go to work so I'll pony up.

At this point, I want to revert blue cruise 1.4 back to 1.0. That would be an upgrade.

Pay for it? Not a chance.
This is the exact opposite of my experience, will you please elaborate?

Lol I have it disabled, along with the other nonsense under the cruise control. So obviously I won't be subscribing (not even sure when/if mine is still subscribed or not)
No one one road does it not enough to justify it it needs a lot of improvement

well, I see:

Premium Connectivity (not activated)
Blue Oval Charging Network (Active)
Alexa Built-in expires 11/15/26
Connected Built-in Nav expires 11/15/26

So, does the Nav go completely dead?
The Blue Oval Charging Network has no expiration date (just says active). What does that mean?

I guess I will wait till they expire, and see what functions are left and then check cost for each. I donā€™t use Alexa.

But I use Nav a lot and require on the road charging a few times a year but I also am pretty frugal.

So the jury is still out, ask me the same question in 20 months. Well actually, June , because that is when our 2022 MME expires and it has the same functions.

On the bright side, Blue Cruise seems to be better than Lucid's ADAS that will try to kill you. No excuse for being that awful on pre-mapped highways in something that expensive. For anyone bored, here's a run of Tesla v Ford v Lucid.
