I used a standard MagSafe charger. Ordered a 2.5inch flush mount from Etsy. Removed the cubby which is a pain because you have to first remove dash parts around the radio and the AC controls. I found a YouTube video on that. Removed the cubby. There are for screws holding it in 2 in front and 2 behind the sliding door. Those are hard to see. The sliding door comes out after those 4 screws are out then the cubby is held in by clips. Drilled a 2.5 inch hole in the cubby and installed the MagSafe and flush mount. For power I installed a usb socket in the back of the console. The one I got enabled quick charge.I debated wiring it to the back 12 volt outlet but ended up running power from the fuse box in the passenger kick panel. The magsafe wire is run through the console and plugged into the socket. Had to drill a small hole in the Console storage to get the MagSafe wire inside to plug it in. The attached picture shows where the socket is installed. You can see the MagSafe charger plugged into it. You could really put it anywhere, I just thought the back would be easy to access for another usb accessory if needed. Below are the parts I used.Do you have links to the parts list? Where did you tap in for power as I see both USBs are still open. This looks very clean. Would love to do this to my truck.
