Hi all: just two tidbits of new or confirmed information I took away from Livestream:

1. They are targeting 280 EPA range for platinum trim. This was expected due to footnotes, but range was never stated.

2. Backup power seems to require sunrun to not just install but to buy their "home integration system".

This was from their charging Livestream, they will have 3 or 4 more Livestreams through December to talk about more features.

Thank you for sharing that and saving us a lot of time.
Sounds like the recent marketing emails, not much content or meaningful updates.

I caught the same 2 take aways. I hope Ford negotiate d a good deal on those "integration kits" and Sunrun doesn't kill everyone with the pricing since they will have a monopoly on it.

It's still entirely possible that it will not be a hard requirement to use sunrun. Honestly I don't see how they could be using any additional equipment in the cutover switch that is proprietary but I'm not that versed in this type of equipment.

Whomp womp! Wasn't the target 300 EPA miles, loaded with 1,000 pounds?
The platinum's range takes a hit from the 22" wheels. I'm assuming the 300 mile range applies to the 20" wheels or the 18" wheels.

Hopefully Ford works out some pricing limits. Obviously there can be a range due to individual factors adding costs (length of cable run)... But in general SunRun is one of the most expensive for solar, so kind of expecting them to rip off people.

Yeah, I figured. I have all of the wiring run in advance (having wiring run for a 100A circuit to a temporary EVSE for my wife's Mach-e to not have to so that twice), so it is just the kit I will need installed.

I may be out…. 280 mile range for platinum disappoints me. Dropping to lariat I cannot get max recline seats as an option or unleashed sound system. Maybe the 2023 version will allow these options. Ugh.

Maybe an option would be given to downgrade the larger wheels that come in the platinum. That's the biggest range killer.

For the XLT and Lariat only. The Platinum was always excluded in the footnote.
I stand corrected then and need to pay closer attention to the footnotes. Most of the talk seemed to be that Ford was being conservative with the range estimates. Wonder how many potential Platinum buyers read the footnote and understood that for a whole lot more money, they'd be getting a little less range.
