Just remember, just because you get invited to order the odds of your configuration being available is a different question, especially if you want a Pro.

With Ford's delusional pricing they will lose significantly more reservations to competitors than I thought was possible.

Just this week I've placed 3 EV reservations for other Trucks/EVs. I'm in a ZEV state with a #10 priority slot...thats how badly Ford screwed this up.

No way I'd ever buy anything more than a Pro especially at their ridiculous prices. If Ford thinks they can just hold onto me until a Pro may come available they are just plain wrong. I don't have brand loyalty to Ford, I have loyalty to my family and we're going to buy the best fit for us.

Not 100%, however that’s one of the factors I believe is dealer priority.
Dealers were told how many of their orders they could prioritize. The number was based off a few factors like how many reservations they have, anticipated allocations and all that. They had to submit their re-prioritized list back to Ford by 12/17. So no, at this point they can't just re-prioritize things. And Ford is sending the invites.

At this point they can’t, but they did and had it submitted by December 17th. The question remains though… does the dealership priority negate the time stamp in which you did your reservation.

That is my frustration as well. I moved my reservation to Granger from my local dealer. I suspect that was a mistake because I'm far back in line at Granger (they said #140 when I did it about 6 months ago). However, Iowa isn't a ZEV state. Neither is Arizona, but I suspect my odds of getting a Lightning is greater here in Arizona at my local dealer closer to the front of the line. If Ford only went by the time stamp, I would feel pretty good about my chances of getting something in 2022. But now I have a reservation on a Silverado and will see which truck will get here first.

Are you saying that if the dealer is not in a ZEV state that it will not get an allocation?

Nobody really knows but I would imagine that zev states (especially California) get a higher allocation relative to the number of reservations. There's incentive for Ford to sell more vehicles in those states.
Texas is a very high volume state for truck sales and they may get higher allocation percentages.
At this point only Ford knows. And as orders come in they could certainly change things.

So I’m mid 30s at granger with a reservation about 30-45 minutes after the presentation on the 19th. I feel like ford is going to screw so many people. I’m certainly in the first 15,000 or so reservations but my dealership choice is going to push me out of 2022 and force me to go else where seeing as I need a vehicle this year.
I’m a ~30min reservation too. @Granger Ford likely has more zero hour reservations than any other dealer. ? They’ve got the enthusiasts!

There was a statement on the MME forum that 92% of the Lightning’s were required to be allocated to ZEV states - which makes no sense to me.

If Ford is using the Lightning to offset ZEV requirements in those states then yes it would make sense for them to send them to those states in greater numbers.

It would be interesting to know tomorrow, if all those that got an invite would let us know if they placed their reservation on 5/19?? I also remember Ford stating that the dealership priority selection would be “An Input” to determine who got invites, IMO, dealerships do not determine who get notified by Ford. At least I hope that’s how it goes???
A guy on Reddit says his dealer told him that he's in Wave 1 and he's #1 at that dealer, despite ordering on 5/20. It didn't sound like he was prioritized ahead of others. I think it's just a tiny dealer or one that doesn't have any local demand for Lightnings.

Hoping for the same. I reserved June 1st, but my small dealer has 3 reservations. I could be number 2.

I think the same guy pointed out that 74% of statistics found online are made up.?

I think Ford should have created like 1000 “Golden tickets” Willy Wonka style and hidden them in miscellaneous Ecosports. Buy an Ecosport, maybe get a ticket.
The ticket would be an option to buy a Lightning by June 1st at MSRP. That would make about as much sense as the current system! ??

That system actually makes more sense! I'd prefer that over this nonsense. Do you hear me, Chevy?!
