Range is super subjective. People who drive in a flat area in warm weather will always get more range than those in colder weather, who travel up hills with a load.

Itā€™s the perfect illustration of Newtonā€™s laws In play, with an added bit of chemistry. Physics, because of how it uses more energy with more passengers and/or weight, plus more to climb hills or drive higher speedsā€¦ chemistry because batteries like to be warmer, so you will always get more miles in warmer weatherā€¦ Keep in mind for the winter, pre-conditioning them while plugged in will help quite a bit (It warms the battery cells).
I agree, but saying the F-150L's 320 mile range is conservative sets a lot of folks up for disappointment. Especially if this will be their first EV.

Why? Lots of people meet/exceed EPA range in the Mach E...

I floor my Tesla at every opportunity so my range is horrible. Driving style is a big thing too. When range matters, I tone it down and even use -gulp- range mode. But range is an issue .01% of the time. I hope everyone loves their truck! I couldn't image how great my tesla was till I got it, and I expect the same for the f150. It's like, gas car kinda suck once you have an ev. You try to keep it to yourself but it's a pretty common feeling.

Awesome and congrats! Can't wait to hear more from you and the other lucky ones that got invited to the event.

Also, can you find @idahospud s truck and activate his FordPass for him?
I love you Vandy!!!

Can you find out if the max towing package has added benefits, like faster charging with the additional cooling? Could it maybe be a OTA update?

In contrast, I "exercise" my car as well from time to time and my range does not suffer - as long as I don't have to use the friction brakes or blast off faster than I would be otherwise. A 3 second dash to 60 on a 55mph road yields virtually identical range to a pokey start. This is one of the other great things about an EV IME - you don't really have to choose performance or economy.

As I said before, 131kWh net capacity. That's 409 Wh/mi out of a full size pickup truck, very optimistic in my opinion. The Mach-E AWD gets 360 Wh/mi. I find it hard to believe the Lightning is only 14% less efficient than the Mach-E.

Thatā€™s similar to mine. Each person has some variation in the times so that only a few are at the track at once.

Not sure where you got 360 Wh/mi, but it is closer to 325 (88kWhrs for 270 miles). That would mean the Lightning would be about 26 percent less efficient.
