But who would spend $75k+ on a short range electric vehicle? Seriously asking.
I spend $67K on my SR.

It's not a short range EV.

It's a very long range for my needs - urban commuter vehicle with speeds never above 50MPH so I get to hypermile her.

250-265 miles on a full charge will get me 10 days of chargeless driving.

Love my SR Lariat.

Will all respect, a SR Lightning will not see 250-265 miles range. My LR can't do that unless hypermiled. You might pull it off if driving under 40 all the time with an egg under your foot. A ginormous 7,000-pound commuter vehicle with industry-low mile/wh? They do make actual commuter vehicles. Not questioning anyone's choices, but I am interested in the logic.

I did and a lot of others to I bet.
That's why they make them for people who want them.
I drive 7 miles one way to work, a few monthly trips are less than 90 miles away in San Diego, Orange county and LA county. The farthest I will drive is to Vegas which is 250 miles.
I have a gas guzzling 2004 F150 Lariat I bought 7 years ago that just turned 200.000. Took me 7 years to get 43000 miles going to the same places as above. SR lightning is perfect for me.

For any of the NJ guys/gals out there. Looking at rebates for installing the charger. Can all be combine if picking the correct charger? Plan on selling Fords
Blink HQ 200
NJ tax rebate = $250
PSEG= install cost up to $1500 bill credit and $.02 off peak per kwh
Fed= 30% of the total cost charger and install up to $1000

My SR Lightning has been able to get an average of 290 miles of range - 100% urban driving, no A/C, no cabin climate, under 45 MPH, windows rolled down, sport mode regen.

This is awesome!! I’m really looking forward to my father getting his SR Pro in December and seeing how he will do with it.

My ER is down to about 270, but it’s because I live in the mountains and use it for 95% highway driving long distance twice a month.

Exactly what the SR is designed for. Why spend $10k or more additional for 60-80 more mile range. Same reason some folks buy a Ranger or F150 and not purchase and F350 Diesel, when all they are hauling is a couple bags of manure twice a year for their flower garden. Unless they have run out of room for money in their mattress and just need to get rid of it.

Blink HQ 200 may not be the best choice, since I don't think it's available yet.

I did see that, but it the only 48-50amp listed on both the NJ rebate site and JCPL. Otherwise stuck with a 40amp. Truck is do to be build 11/2 so still have some time.

In the case of XLT the difference is $21K, plus the loss of $7.5K in tax credit.

https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/409 - This page is linked in the Ford ordering guide. It seems to show the MSRP limit goes into effect for any vehicle delivered after Dec 31 2022.

Vehicle Purchases Between August 17 and December 31, 2022
Qualifying EVs purchased and delivered between August 17, 2022, and December 31, 2022, are eligible for the tax incentive as described above but are limited to vehicles with final assembly in North America. Manufacturer sales caps on vehicles apply. Note that for some manufacturers, the build location may vary based on the specific vehicle, trim, or the date in the Model Year when it was produced because some models are produced in multiple locations. The build location of a particular vehicle should be confirmed by referring to its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) using the U.S. Department of Transportation’s VIN decoder or an information label affixed to the vehicle.

The next section shows the MSRP limit.

The big question that we need answered is if the MSRP is based on the trim with no options and that the ER battery is considered an optional addon. In which case XLT and Lariat would both still qualify next year.

I thought MSRP means just that - however it's equipped - what the window sticker shows w/ $1795 destination & delivery charge....
