Slow charging on AC

Well, tried a DC fast charger on lunch. I had 58% SOC and it ramped up to 129kW almost immediately on a 150kW charger. Charged to 80% in around 18 minutes. So I'm thinking one of my AC chargers on the truck isn't working.

I also learned a few things. Electrify America is still free and pack temperature makes a huge difference. Starting cold on a 20 minute highway drive, averaging 72 MPH, I was getting 1.8 mi/kWh. After charging I averaged 2.3 mi/kWh on the return trip.
My ea was free on weekend but during the week last week NOT.

could be when servers are being worked on?

Ok. I haven't had the ping-pong charging again, but I did want to ask if this is normal for everybody else. It took 8 minutes to get to full charging current after plugging in. I take it this is normal for everybody else?

Ok. I haven't had the ping-pong charging again, but I did want to ask if this is normal for everybody else. It took 8 minutes to get to full charging current after plugging in. I take it this is normal for everybody else?

My XLT SR also takes a bit of time to ramp up. Hard to tell how long it is. Probably somewhere around 3 minutes?

I might not even unbox my FCSP and just buy another Emporia for my wife's Mach-E. My only concern is getting enough range overnight in the dead of winter in my electric providers 7 hour charging window to cover my 100 mile commute.

I’m seeing the CSP shows the full kWh from your charge session all on the hour your session completes, which is when you unplug. Not very helpful.
Exactly what I have noticed

Here is what I recorded using CarScanner for one of my FCSP (240V/80A setting) charge sessions of my ER…….it shows my truck took 2-3 minutes to ramp up to the charger’s full capacity.

Graph Note: I’m only able to ID/monitor the amperage of one of the ER’s two onboard AC-DC chargers, but math ([16.67kW/234.16V]*1000) shows the 71.19A total being delivered at this point of the charge…..

Hmm, frustrating I’m sure! It would be interesting to see what your truck is requesting vs what your charger is supplying. That may provide you a better idea where the issue may be rooted.

This is the beginning of my last 240V charge Thursday afternoon/evening on my FCSP starting at 20% SoC…I checked and it pretty much maintained delivery of 16.67-17kW until the truck reached ~90% SoC where delivery dropped precipitously…..

my MaxGreen 32 amp Adjustable 240v unit does quite nicely, and ramps up within seconds. The front digital amperage readout gives you the movement as it starts, and typically is charging at 30.5 to 31 amps within a very quick time. It hardly moves from that during the whole 8 hour charging period.

the Ford Mobile charger is much harder to pin down, as there's no digital feedback or front readout to see what the charging status or amperage is. I keep it in the frunk just for travel, specifically if I were to ever need to 120v charge.

It's definitely not my charger. The previous 5 sessions before last night it peaked at 11 kW like it should.

Hey I dont know if matters to your issue much but just FYI, if you're not hardwired you're supposed to limit the charge rate to 40 amp on a 50 amp - plug in circuit.
