Hey guys, new to the forum today. I have a 22 lariat and love it, but having some issues with android auto that I don't know if anyone else is.
Have a samsung s22 ultra if that matters.

When I connect everything works fine, if I start a call by dialing on my handset it works fine, and if I receive a call it works fine. But if I dial the call through my vehicle I'm greeted with just silence.
Has anyone else run into this or know a fix

So I'm having issues in general with Bluetooth on both Android Auto or Even with Android Auto disconnected (just using Bluetooth). I will often get that " silence " that you are referring to. A makeshift way to fix - once you start the call quickly select it, then choose the handset option, then click right back to Bluetooth option. So you're just toggling back and forth. I wonder if anyone has a real fix or if a set of phone needs to be adjusted. I am using a pixel 6. Really annoying.

Same issue, my wife says the call goes through but she can't hear me either. I place so few calls I haven't bothered troubleshooting it. I'm thinking it's more of an Android issue than a Ford issue.

Like everyone above, I've had intermittent issues with AA and phone calls outbound that I dialed via the SYNC screen, some times, the recipient can not hear me, I hand up, dial again (same way) and it works, mystery.

AA has released a few updates for my Samsung Galaxy S10e the past couple weeks, make sure your phone OS and AA app is up to date, hopefully they get this sorted.....

Same issue here. The only way I've been able to make it work is switch back to speakerphone on the Ford display and then back to Bluetooth then it connects

Same here; Pixel 7.

I don't make many calls from the truck so haven't fully reproduced the different situations, but the primary and most annoying I have is when plugged in (I also run BT and the phone is connected that way, too, which might be part of the problem). When I dial from the truck or phone and am plugged in, they other people can't hear me, but I can hear them. Occasionally neither of us can hear the other.

I would then dive for the phone, try to unplug it, and that seemed to work, assuming the other person hadn't hung up on me after all that silence.

I have now given up on wireless Android Auto as it makes the phone annoying to use by hand (when stopped, or as a passenger), and now just plug in if I want to use AA.

I heard some of the issues is the device S22 Ultra is unstable. When they upgraded to the 23Ultra some major issues went away. Just what I've heard, that's all.

I have an S21, and receive a static on all calls with every bluetooth device. I imagine it's a setting in the developer menu.

I'm having the same or similar problem with Android Auto and my Galaxy S23. I have not found a workaround.

Same issue with Pixel 5A, recently within the last 2 months I think it is the phone, I have had it happen on BT speakers as well. Quick fix as noted is to switch between truck to handset and back. The other person can hear me, but I can't hear them. I just tell them to hang on a second while I make the switch over.

Clearly not the phones as it happens to everyone with Android regardless of phone.
