Mine will be 100% updated when I pick it up.
I’ll be following. You are heading down the same road I was on and I’ll be interested to hear if it all works as advertised. After having my demo for a couple of weeks and seeing all the post about OTA updates landing and mine not showing they finally forced the updates. Turns out there has been another one that didn’t load so I’m heading back next week.

I wish it was working as advertised, but it isn’t for me.

Hope you have better luck. Let us know how it goes when the next OTA comes out.

I was able to connect to the vehicle with FordPass tonight, setup Connected Services, got my free 250kWh of charging, etc.

It does say it needs to be setup in the truck for the updates, so that's the piece tied to this. But the update it's waiting on I already got via the dealership.

....you've been on here forever. I thought you got yours a year ago!
Got opportunity to order in mid-Nov. Higher price, deletes. Then wife said Mach-E or Lightning, not both. Recently gave in. Buying a 2022 demo with <500 miles.

So here's a question. Got my MME GT mannequin home yesterday and checked connected services to find that BlueCruise, maps, and Alexa etc. all have activation dates of roughly 60 days before I drove off the lot. I talked to customer service and they said to make sure my dealer set the warranty start date to yesterday.

This morning I went back in to the dealership for a chat about that and other technical stuff for both my car and truck and they pulled and printed the owner info that says I'm the owner, but the warranty started 19 April 23. They said Ford did that the day it went on the FCTP program. The customer service lady I talked to about adjusting the dates (extending) for the connected services items said that everything was based on the warranty start date. The sales manager says this has been a problem before with FCTP and things like XM radio trials being expired before a customer even got the vehicle.

So why does Ford not show the correct warranty start date for the first customer who bought the vehicle....instead of showing the start date that the dealership enrolled the vehicle in FCTP?

We have on this forum at least one and probably more members who bought Lightnings that were mannequins, and they have probably lost 6 months of BlueCruise trial period because of this. Right now it looks like I've lost only 60 days of BC trial on my MME but still...it's the principal.

It you bought a demo/mannequin and cannot schedule an update after an alert because the option is not visible (e.g., Fleet vehicle):

Seems Ford has determined they need a written request and proof of ownership.

Don't call and waste time explaining your problem because after you do that you will be asked to send an email. Just sent an email to:

[email protected] (corrected error 6/23/23)
  1. State the OTA's are blocked on your F-150 Lightning due to Fleet setting
  2. Include proof you own the vehicle (any document that proves you own the truck AND has your name and a VIN on it) which can include a copy of:
    1. Proof of Insurance
    2. Sales contract
    3. Registration
    4. Title
    5. ???
I sent the email and Ford cleared the block on the OTAs in less than an hour and i was able to access the Schedule Update screen. Truck is now fully updated.

Simple request and from my view and Ford's eliminates potential fraud.

Can you confirm the email address is correct in your post? I have the same issue but got an undeliverable for wrong email address when trying to contact Ford. Did you get a reply from Ford after they removed the fleet status on your truck? Thanks!

Resuming this thread a bit. I recently bought my Lightning last month and I have not been able to activate FordPass. It’s been a journey of back and forth between the dealer and various Ford support people I’ve talked to. I’ll try the email address and the phone numbers listed in this thread to see if they can help.
When I look at my screen for “connectivity” and then under “connected vehicle features” it says “telematics” and the toggle switch is on and it has a lock icon on it. The trouble is that Ford support is telling me the modem hasn’t been heard from at all in a couple months. And when I brought it to the dealer shop they said its fleet locked and only I can request that be removed. Ford support is saying only the dealer can reset the modem. I’m stuck in the middle.
I wonder if my truck was in fleet mode at one time, then the modem stopped communicating, and now it’s “stuck” in this fleet mode state. Anyways it’s super frustrating and I’ve tried the battery terminal pull and the fuse pull and neither worked.
I guess it’s back to the dealer again sigh.

@MountainAlive , your Connectivity screen looks very different than mine (see photos). It is possible the dealer did not fully activate your truck upon sale.

Yes indeed. I wonder though if this is because I have the “fleet mode” screen which limits certain options.
