Me on Saturday. I am trying to evaluate my options. It really ruins the truck for me. Overpaid by 17,000. Checking if I can still walk away from the contract.
@Ford Motor Company should send a check of the difference to those of us that have overpaid. Like many others, I am very upset and this may be my last Ford vehicle.

I may have missed this in the thread, but I just read that the newer pricing drops the FCSP from at least the Lariat and maybe the Platinum. Anyone confirm that. Maybe I've just glossed over it.

Yea, my salesman said that Ford also often refunds some money to people who just purchased in the last few weeks. But he was unsure about timeframe. And he was sure that my XLT SR with build date of 8/14 will be at lower pricing.
I was not sent an email about honoring the lower price but I was sent a survey. my response to the survey would of been very different if I did not hear about the price drops. I wrote that I was unhappy with the price of the vehicle and that it did not qualify for the rebate. Everyone should do this to send a message. We may be SOL but at least someone will get the message.

Stopped my dealer today to chat with them. My Lightning ER Lariat arrived a week and half ago and I was away for vacation. Truth be told I got impatient a year into waiting and bought Powerboost from them last year. They would love for me to still buy the Lightning as EVs are just sitting on their lot. I'm on the fence as I really like my PB. According to them, since I have not taken delivery the vehicle will be repriced at the new MSRP. I don't have it writing but he checked the new price versus my price protected price. Even though it was a couple hundred more, he told me the "new price" is the way to go to ensure I get the $7.5k rebate. I just wish I had been more patient and that rates weren't terrible.

It's about time. One of the reasons I chose SR, was that it didn't come with FCSP.

2023.5 Mach E are now lower pricing without the $500 mobile charger and no BC for 3 years.

That's cost cutting for you!

Another newbie checking in here after seeing the price decreases. Definitely more attractive to jump in now with the price drops. Doing some searches I'm already seeing prices have come down a lot on used trucks as well as discounts off of new ones. I'd rather go new, but a hell of a deal on a used one would work too since the tax rebate won't come into play (although I'm jealous of those that can get the rebate).

When I got my MME, BC wasn't ready. So my price was lower by $600, plus I got an extra $100 rebate. I did get to use BC (it will be for about 2.5 years). Having used it a few times, I understand the advantages for those who travel a lot on freeways, but I don't. So when it finally expires, I have no intention of paying anything for it.

As far as the mobile charger, the one that came with MME is still unopened.

Now if I could get heated steering wheel......

Meh. I have already driven mine nearly 10k miles in 3 months. It doesn't bother me as I have been having fun with my truck. I think that it's great that the price reduction makes the truck more accessible. Ford is finally achieving the economies of production scale and wants to be the dominant EV pickup player as they have been the dominant ICE player.

GM priced the Silverado into the stratosphere and setting aside the Bolt, they still can't seem to produce EVs at scale.

If anything, it's a shot over the bow at Tesla that's going to be launching the Cybertruck at a premium price point. Tesla's range numbers are consistently BS. Their 350 is everybody else's 280. It's going to be interesting.
They only ever really produced about 30-40k bolts a year till this last year they made around 60k. That's not really much of a scale, basically just compliance numbers. Ford will produce more lightning than that this year and it's the first full year of production and there's been several stops throughout the year.

$49,900-$7500 is getting pretty close…
and if I don’t get the $7,500? Will ford give it up to get me there? Since the inverse logic was true for their price increase.

Seriously do you stop buying everything that has a price drop after you bought it? Pretty much every electronic device you buy will have a price drop after you buy it because new technology comes out. Do you get this mad at apple when they drop the iphone price?

Price drops like these are just new to auto buyers. As pointed out, almost all other electronic, tech, etc items get price cuts as they age after release- it's called 'sequential skimming' as is one of the oldest pricing strategies around.

The auto industry is seeing it with Tesla, and now Ford. Tesla uses it to balance supply with demand. This will be the new reality for years, until the industry comes to steady state with manufacturing efficiencies, battery manufacturing economies of scale, and as the current super steep battery tech curve flattens out.

It's truly an 'early adopter' price to pay.

Frustrating, sure, but we'll each need to decide when to dive in and purchase and when to hold our water.

I emailed my dealer yesterday as soon as I found out about the price change and they got right back to me and told me that since my truck (XLT SR) has not been built yet that I would get the new lower pricing. They even followed up with a text this morning to look out for an email from Ford which would also confirm that I would get the lower pricing.
I got a call as well from the dealer about my XLT SR order. A little over 9K less. I still do not know if I am going to take it…..but we will have to see what incentives are available around delivery time as well as used values.
