BlueCruise 1.3 announced, coming to Lightning by end of the year

Considering FOMCO is hoping we are willing to spend $800 a year(after our trial period) for this tech they will definitely put it out to all their current BlueCruise customers.

Yeah, it better be alot better than it is now for me to justify that price.

Sounds like maybe they are getting serious about using EAP to actually improve their product.

If I had a platinum with the lay down seats, and with bluecruise I can input my destination, lay down and take a nap…I would pay the $800/year.

XLT does not come with Blue Cruise and you can’t get it as an add on. Do the Lariat and Platinum have different hardware installed or is this just a marketing decision. Same question for the following distance feature on those models.

BlueCruise requires eye tracking hardware which is not present on the Pro, XLT, or Lariats without the CoPilot360 Active Prep package added.

CoPilot360 Assist 2.0 can be had on the XLT with the 312A package and includes Adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering.

Updates come OTA. The term "PowerUp" didn't start until middle of last year, and not every OTA update has that designation.

No, there is no way to see what SW version you are on, because in fact there is no such thing. You have dozens of modules that can be updated. Each OTA update can update 1, or many of them. The only version info you can see is:

- Sync, in the vehicle
- An update, in the notes, for a short period after you get it, then it's gone.

I hope this isn’t Ford. I’ve been using AP on daily basis and it’s trash compared to the current BT. While FSD might be better than AP, I think Ford should stick with BC, they’ll get there.

I bet it's Stellantis. BlueCruise is rated better than Autopilot and GM has SuperCruise.

I'm not sure how I feel about any of the driving systems. I had FSD on a Tesla and while it was improving it was very rough. However it could get me from one point to another in some situations.

I don't trust Blue Cruise at all. Unless they come up with some very cheap prices I won't pay up for it. First, truly I drive very little where it can be used, but when it wants to stop steering with no really noticeable warning it gets a bit dicey, and it will do that on marked roads where it once was steering.

The advantage Tesla can truly exercise some day over all of the other systems is that it evaluates real time and evaluates much more data that is in the real time situation.

Regardless of who you like a little better they are all a long ways off of get in and forget about it.

I find BC pretty darn good, and it doesn't stop steering when it kicks off, it will fairly quickly give you the "hands on the wheel" warning.

I'm extremely comfortable using BC 99% of the time and as long as a person pays attention to the road (as is required) I find it a very positive experience.

Same here I used it everyday when I was daily driving it. The switch to Tesla’s AP has been an eye opener to how good BC really is. No abrupt stops, no quick accelerations from a dead stop, no trying to take an exit when you want to go straight. BC just feels much more refined.

Just this weekend I took it to Vegas and back, used BC about 95% of time, no issues at all.
