Every video, picture, review, interior tour I've seen of the Lightning Pro has shown a door that covers the upper glove box area. My '23 Pro, purchased last month is open. No door at all. Anyone else have this? I'm wondering if this was removed or if mine is missing something.

Dear god, what a cheap out. Could they have not found a touch point to cut?
They also cut the cupholder and cubby lighting. I had it on my 2021 Lariat and missed it enough that I added it to my Lightning when it was eliminated for 2022.

My 98 f150 has the column shifter and I would very much prefer that as well.

When you say eliminated from lower trims, does that include the XLT?

Unless they nerfed it from later builds, my '23 XLT has the upper glovebox.

I kinda like just having the little cubby to throw stuff into. I've got some mail, some gloves and I think some other stuff thrown in there and kinda hanging out. Probably wouldn't close if there was a door on it

We have a few napkins in it and tossed the Switch in there on our quick road trip out to Pittsburgh from Delaware the other weekend....but then found out it wasn't really needed. I had thought charging would've taken longer lol.

Also have a 23 Pro, it's gone but I really don't care. Never understood why I'd need two glove boxes in the first place. Center console is already massive and I also added the underseat storage organizer (FL3Z-78115A00-AA) so I put could put tools/straps under the back seats.

If you want to see the difference between model years:

It's not the only option. The small rotary shifter would be perfectly fine.
Point me to the current F150 with a dial shifter and I'll agree with you. Current F150's have either a colum or console shifter. Ford was never going to engineer something unique for a limited run vehicle.
