[the Frunk 'Beeper' speaker/sensor]
if you know exactly where it is located, it's possible that you could reach up into the interior of the bumper, passenger side, and disconnect it... but... it's fairly simple to remove the front painted facia, and the bumper 'cover' to get to it below, although I'll bet you might have to remove the frunk tub(which is easy) to most easily get to it...sorry.

and YES! I am very much enjoying the 'no more beeping!' when opening and lowering the hood : )
Do you get an error on your dashboard after removing the module?

no

the beeper is just gone, hallelujah... no worries, and no errors... apparently the truck might still be sending the 'signal', but there is no speaker to announce it! I love it...

this is probably nothing to do with the software or coding, as other things are, it's just a sensor that beeps whenever the hood is 'in motion'...

I now see where the horn(s) is located.
How may things had to be removed to get there?

by the way, I just looked back over the primary photo, and realize that the frunk 'beeper' connection is actually mounted just under the front of the frunk, which would require removing everything except the bumper... it's not really that much work, it just takes the time and effort - it's worth it!

Awesome! Now you get to move on to all the other modifications that you find like I've been doing... It's awesome that there's always something more to add or change on the truck!

How does this work without the steering wheel buttons? Is lane centering always on? Is the following distance fixed?
Yep. I didn’t add buttons , and it is just fixed following distance. But honestly I think the set distance is perfect…. And yes lane centering on

@hturnerfamily

Thanks! I missed this post and was about to take the plunge and was considering making a similar writeup.

One thing I haven't fully done was fully verify the passenger wires. I think I see all of them but not 100% sure, is this picture clear enough to see them?

A heads up for the folks with the base 2023 Pro, we do not have the wiring in place unless you have the 360 camera package. I confirmed on my truck that has a build date of late November.

I'm testing the new ACC and LC features while on a Florida camping trip - and the truck and camper do just fine under the ACC and LC controls - it operates no differently with or without the camper behind, and makes driving long distances, or for long hours, so much more pleasurable.

I've tested the following distance, and it responds well to vehicles who slow, or pull out at slower speeds, in front of you, as well as bringing you to a slow, and then ultimately to a complete stop, in traffic, at lights, etc... I believe that the Ford system will give you maybe 30 seconds at a complete stop before it engages the 'auto hold' and then requires you to touch the 'GO' pedal to restart, otherwise it 'follows' the vehicle in front of you when they start off.
What I would like the see adjusted, though, is the rate at which the truck decides to ACCELERATE when the vehicle in front moves, or a slower vehicle move out of the way - the sudden acceleration is unwarranted, and probably doesn't seem 'safe' in high-traffic scenarios. It's one thing if you are traveling at 55mph, with your cruise set to 75mph, and the slower vehicle in front of you changes lanes, your accelaration might make sense for that situation - but if you are at a complete stop, and the vehicle in front of you starts and moves over to the next lane, your truck might suddenly lurch and accelerate to try to get up to your set cruise speed before you realize it. It a lot of traffic, even if I came into the area on a 55mph set cruise speed, I may not necessarily be wanting, or expecting, the truck to suddenly try to attain that set speed again so quickly.

There have been several times, infrequently, when the system will give a 'TAKE CONTROL' or similar warning, audible and on the driver screen, when it either can't sense the road stripes, or maybe has a 'glare' from the sun, or a reflection, that prevents it from safely continuing.
If you also hold the wheel too hard, it may think you are trying to manually take control, and it will 'cancel' the ACC and LC... although it will also automatically engage again in several seconds.

You have to get used to what the system expects, how it handles situations, and overall what to 'do' while it is doing it's job. With any of these systems, on any make or model vehicle, you have to be prepared, regardless. You will always be responsible for taking control.
My wife's 'new' '22 Kia Sorento PHEV Prestige has all these features, and has been a joy to drive, but it is also not perfect, none are.
I drove a Tesla Model 3 cross-country from Georgia to Texas last year, to the F150 LIGHTNING invitational San Antonio 'unveiling' and 'test drive' EVENT. It has it's own terrific 'self driving' options, but is also not without it's own issues. When it tries to take you suddenly on an interstate off-ramp at 75 mph, you realize that it's not perfect.
All of these systems try to be 'self steering', as much as possible, but I realize that they have some things to perfect, such as whether the designers put priority on the left/middle road stripe, or the right stripe. This makes a big difference in how your vehicle 'reacts' when a stripe suddently goes 'missing'. Merging lanes, interstate off-ramps/exits, etc, are all areas where most of these 'self driving' vehicles can have issues. A vehicle, if it can't sense a left or right stripe, should keep itself in a straight path, as you might expect it should, but many times, they don't. They might suddenly 'jerk' to the left or right. They may even eventually find their correct path, although you might also have just needed a new pair or undies. : /

it's all good, but automation is also not everything. : )

just returned from a July 4th week camping BEACH holiday - everything went well... whether on the OchlockneeRiverStatePark river beach, watching the jet ski and boating traffic while lounging in the cool water, or the beaches of PanamaCityBeach RV resort or St AndrewsStatePark campground...where you can brave the waves, or find the relaxing beach side of the ShellIsland point... you can also charge your truck, while you use your camper, all at the same time. Your charging is included : )

and

I simply LOVE not having to deal with the 'frunk opening/closing' beeeeeeeeping... nice! I'd rather NOT wake up neighbors just to get something out... now, if I could just do this for the 'reverse' beeper.

I love NOT having the seatbelt reminder 'diiiiiinnnnggging', too... as sometimes you just need to move silently without yet having your seatbelt engaged. Works for the passenger side, too.

With the new AdaptiveCruise and LaneCentering I find myself much more relaxed at the end of each trip - the 'tenseness' is now gone from having to constantly monitor and move the wheel yourself. I enjoy driving, and have never really given this any big deal, but once you have it, you grow accustomed to it VERY quickly.... nice.

Has anyone figured out a way to still add acc and lane centering? Can you manually add the wires? Does it need other hardware that the other models don’t need?

Man I'm totally bummed reading that the 2023 Pro's don't have the necessary wiring as ACC is about the only feature I wish my Pro had, well that and passive entry.
