My truck has been sitting at the dealer with a stop sale since October and now the incentive is gone. Even if the recall were fixed tomorrow I would not buy it now that it will cost me more than if they had sold it to me when it arrived in town.

The dealer stock that Iā€™ve had my name on since September just arrived today. Went and talked to the salesman and Iā€™m protected with the $3,000 incentive package from when I tagged it in September.

The GM also suggested waiting until Monday because there are absolutely no incentives on Lightnings right now which is abnormal and new incentives drop on Mondays.

I know Iā€™ll win some and lose some, for now I put it in unknown territory. With three years of BC, FCSP, likelihood of gas hitting $4+ again, etc. I think Iā€™ll still come out ahead in the long run but it wouldā€™ve been nice to have the full $7,500 incentive.

Picked up my Lariat Lightning two weeks ago in Abilene TX and the incentive was deducted. As I recall it was $6500

I suspect that after Tesla announced availability of Cyber Truck Ford decided to end the $1.500 & $7.500 Rebates early and replace them with special finance rates instead.

I don't think that on Monday Ford will bring any rebates back.

Awesome deal. Timing is everything.

Did you time buying your 2023 Model Y to not get hosed ? ? Tesla has been all over the place with pricing.

We also have 2023 Teslas and 2023 Lightning in our garage.

I sold the y to a different dealer than where i got the lightning. ford dealer offered 36,000. i got 42,000 from another dealer-plus the 7500 tax money. so i didnt loose much.

This is a mess if they actually canceled it. I'm guessing there are a lot of deals that were worked out based on the 1/2/24 expiration date. Dealers are either going to get stuck paying the difference or things will fall apart with people mad at Ford.

I don't know if I've ever seen a total cancellation of a factory incentive before expiration like that before?
I have always been cautioned by my dealer that incentives can change at any time where there is the monthly cross over even if the incentive is scheduled to expire months later. While not a frequent occurrence, it does happen on occasion. Stinks I know.

For once in my life I am glad that I jumped on the opportunity, I would not have otherwise bought my Lightning. It was already more than I wanted to spend even with the additional $7500.

Ford will need to continue to drive the price down, and I will be curious to see the December numbers without the rebate.

I didn't order a Lariat (XLT) but my truck has been at the dealer since 10/20 and on hold for the heater repair. The whole affair annoys me. My truck was ordered March, scheduled to be built 8/14 and was built 9/1. Missed out on the low interest rate they were offering until early October, iirc. Ford should be taking care of people who put down $100, then > 1k at ordering who missed out because of their manufacturing problems. This is my first Ford. I'm gonna get the truck but see if the dealer will give me a discount for all the delays. Probably not.

I went by my dealer today and they said the 7500 ford cash must have ended 12-4. and 2024 lightning production was going to be cut in half. i went by to complain about cold weather range being 50 percent. suppose to go on 800 mile trip 19th. its got 700 miles on it . i am a nervous wreck worrying about finding working chargers ! i am already thinking of selling it. what does the ford gang think ? ?

I punted on mine. Ford and the dealer are fighting over who has to give me my deposit back and the way Ford is handling it is not reassuring. The pulling of the rebate was the last straw for me. I have no confidence Ford knows what it is doing and will probably never buy a new Ford again. Moreover, even if the rebate was in place the "fix" still has no ETA as parts are in short supply.

I thought Rivian was a cluster F on communicated about my order but Ford has been worse. As a shareholder I now wonder how many people have been screwed over like me on deposits and how much ill will has been generated.
