Incentives are selectable from the day of order (if you ordered) or the day of delivery, whichever package you prefer. Dealer goes into Smart Vincent and checks a box to pull up the old ones.

Of course the total package of orders is what you get, you don't get to select 1 from the order date and the rest from the delivery date.

Is this stating that program #11116 - Retail Customer Cash was cancelled early (12/4/23 instead of 1/4/24) and is no longer available?

If so then effectively Ford increased the price of my 2023 Lariat by $7,500.
That's how I'm reading it.

This is a mess if they actually canceled it. I'm guessing there are a lot of deals that were worked out based on the 1/2/24 expiration date. Dealers are either going to get stuck paying the difference or things will fall apart with people mad at Ford.

I don't know if I've ever seen a total cancellation of a factory incentive before expiration like that before?
I don't study the incentives, but this is the first time I've seen one pulled early instead of being extended.

I wonder if this is because the Cybertruck pricing came in the way it did?

Good to know, thanks. That makes sense for customer orders. Do you know if the same applies to dealer orders? Mine is technically a dealer order that I've worked out a deal and a put a deposit against.

Looks like the dealer order was from mid September, before this incentive existed. So they ordered the truck, incentive came out, we worked out a deal, then canceled the incentive early. This is a mess.

It does not. You get whatever exists at time of purchase. Ford never guarantees offers until an expiration date, and dealers know that and should have told you to move your butt.

EDIT: Sorry, I missed where they rolled out the new incentive (3.9 for 60), so my assumption below is not likely to be the case.

I'd give it a few days, I have seen in the past when there was a transition period between incentive programs that created a delay in showing up.

The $5k lease is the same that was offered previously, so I am not surprised to see that it is still available. If I had to guess, they would increase the incentives for the XLT because those were sitting on lots. The $7500 on the lariat effectively made it less expensive than the XLT (base Lariat to XLT high). Never really made sense.

Either way, I'm sure you are bothered by it...but hang tight.

It should apply to every order. I just don't know if this incentive would have been locked in at the time of a customer order or not.

What happens to deals already made is up to the dealer. I can't comment on it. When they run the Smart Vincent, if it wasn't locked in at the time of the order, it won't show up in the system.

That is a stunner. I was planning on an upgrade based on those incentives. Oh well. Maybe something new coming out? Come on Ford, do not leave us hanging. $7500 was supposed to be until 1/4

I'm in the same boat; right now, this effectively killed a negotiation I was working on. Ford should honor advertised expiration dates

Confirmed with my dealer rep. Gone. Grrrrrrrr. As an early adopter and victim of price increase from reservation to order date, I was hoping this was my reward. Moral of this story…move quick.

This situation is why I only considered vehicles already on dealer lots when I purchased 6 weeks ago. I had a feeling the incentive wouldn’t actually make it to January. I ended up several hours out of state to find the build I wanted.

This is a situation where the customer should be talking to the dealership, and understanding that ANY promotion can be yanked at ANY time. Always been this way, nothing new.

Geez... Looks like I made it just under the wire. I closed my purchase on Nov. 30th... If I were still in the midst of the transaction, or if delivery had been delayed a week I would be livid. I hope FMC has an end-of-year holiday cash back offer coming out. They must.

This is funny because they usually tell you that this deal is good for today and it might not be here when you get back, but we are programmed to ignore them.

Looks like Ford believes it’s Tesla now and can lower / raise prices at no warning . There must have seen a huge uptick on online traffic going thru lighting info and searches. I think Ford realizes that and won’t have to worry about the cyber truck for another year.
What will be interesting if Chevy / gm can actually pump out some EV trucks with 400 range - by next summer ford needs to be able to show progress on that front with the lightning.
