Reckon it’s worth getting the A2Z NACS extension cord just to avoid the 2 spot hassle? Or is my newbie EV understanding incorrect in its function?

I have that cord and I’m going to use it for destination charges. It is too small and long for superchargers. A2Z has announced a supercharger extension cord. It will be $300. You can get on a notification list when it comes out.

It’s test of patience…do I buy this one or wait for the free one in June
I am on the same boat now. Wait until the Ford furnished one, contemplating to purchasing the 5-6 ft extension cord from A2Z so as to not take two parking spots, and avoiding the strange looks and hate.
The more I read about everyone's experiences at the Tesla stations, I am convinced that the extension cord is the best remedy to squash the animosity towards us, by showing that you will aquire an extension and avoid taking two parking spots to charge at their network. I have no problem talking to the Tesla folks while charging.
It is better to talk than get the awkward looks and animosity.

Took a few minutes to figure out how to lock the A2ZEV adapter (see signature) on, but then fine. Confusion among the Tesla drivers, and some hate as I blocked 2 chargers.

How did you initiate the charge? Are you using the Tesla app, or can you do it through Ford Pass?

The extension cord kills the point of fast charging since it’s not liquid cooled.

In the end, tough luck. Tesla should have thought of that when they opened the network.

I believe that A2Z will make a comparable DC extension cord that is capable of FC.
They made a very good adaptor, which I admit, have ordered one myself.
Let us see what happens.
Right now they have other things to worry.
Making and shipping adaptors.
I agree, liquid cooled cables are better than non liquid cooled.

FordPass works fine. I paid $12.99 for the Tesla membership, discount is paid for after just over 2 good charges.

You won't get your Tesla discount if you use FordPass to initiate charging.

The only way to get the discount is to use the Tesla app to start the charger.

sw engineering manager,
If Teslas are using every other spot, seems like you could camp on a spot to the right of the one closest to being done.

I'm oblivious to tesla non member rates. Most places when I rented a tesla was 0.30-0.36/kwh. What's the cost for our trucks?

I charged at superchargers twice in our Rivian yesterday. One was $.53 per kilowatt hour the other was $.50 per kilowatt hour.

But since they have no charger displays, you have to ask each person.
