Other than the few hundred screws ups in the 7000's everything is perfectly on track for what we've been told it would be. No throttling (unless it was already built in). April deliveries are out, the only misses for April are due to the 3rd party mess up, again to those in the 7000's.

The next deliveries weren't scheduled until May, we aren't there yet.

And double check the most American made products, Tesla sits near the top of those lists. These are likely coming from NY, not China.

My guess is that they ran 1500 units as a final test of the production in March and now they are in the process of moving the production line to a contract manufacturer. The CM should be up and running before the end of April to start deliveries in May.

I’m not sure what the final test run was supposed to be, but it was likely set at my order number minus one. It’s just how the world works. If by some miracle it wasn’t, well…you’re welcome 7000s

If stateside manufacturing then there’s even less reasons to throttle other than Tesla requirements. Storing adapters vs drop shipping them is a waste of money… of course if Tesla is making them in Buffalo at the Supercharger facility they’d fully control the rate and would be willing to warehouse them to keep the flow down. Then ship them to Dearborn for processing and ship out. Resulting in even larger delays. And more cost. For a feee adapter. Makes one shake their head at times.

Will watch the next couple weeks and see. Someone with an adapter should be able to look at the manufacturing info to see where it was made.

It is entirely likely Tesla is making the adapter, sending them in bulk to Dearborn and Ford is packaging them in Ford specific boxes. Hence the need to move them and the delay for union labor….j/k

So since I received one and not my second one for my Mach E, I assume that one was "skipped over?"

But not forgotten, they will catch up with the orders out of sequence, probably like the trucks trapped along the fence line when retrofit repairs at the factory were needed on some trucks.

Funny, I'm on the phone with Ford parts now and they can't find my second order! I'm going to get a callback once they figure it out. I have an email confirmation and it shows on my account, as well.

Interesting that they knocked out most/all the April deliveries in the first half the month. Is that how they're going to do it? Seems like they could already be sending may deliveries, but maybe they're working in batches. C'mon Ford, you're famous for the assembly line.
