Noticed last week that power output was reduced to 57%. Charging faulted once it reached 65% SoC. Service appointment this morning, and just got word that module 6 has failed. Waiting to hear from Ford on parts availability...
Mileage?

Thanks! I keep hoping this was something that would show up earlier rather than later. It makes me really apprehensive to drive too far from home and I hate that feeling.

Sorry that any of us had to go through this.

Update:
First attempt to dcfc after the repair resulted in the same fault again.
Wow. Had to go back to read your previous post but sounds like you eventually got them to identify and fix the issue. Or say they did. :(.

Ford F150 Lightning Pro Extended Range
Just joined. We had just purchased a 2023 Pro Extended Range on Wednesday 05/29, and was super excited to be owners of the Lightning (first Ford for our family). New purchase, 51 miles when we purchased it and took it home.

When we drove home that day, got the 'Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power', so I scheduled for service right away, earliest is Monday 06/03. Mileage was at 54 miles. Charged with the level 1 charger (120v) wall charger overnight. Did the reads through all the threads here throughout the night, definitely worrying.

Next morning got the Charger Faulty warning on the Ford Pass App. Saw it was no longer accepting the charge, this is definitely stressful as I won't be able to do any of my daily commutes, so took it to the dealer right away. Said we'd hear by on 05/31 on the diagnosis from the service team. Sales team provided different loaner cars, but this is stressful for myself and the family.

Build date at driver's door sticker? See my signature for my tracking of many other reports. Build date seems most relatable to battery failures, hopefully later builds are having fewer defects?

According to the window sticker, it’s August 2023. I’ll add my info into your spreadsheet.

Here’s the statement.
They dropped the battery down for a day. So, they certainly did something

P2BC5 = Battery Charging System Positive Contactor B Stuck Closed
P2BC7 = Battery Charging System Positive Contactor "B" Control Circuit/Open

I can see why the truck is getting a fault, it simultaneously thinks the circuit is open and closed.

Will send you information on the build so you can add to the tracker as well. The car is at the service center at the moment. We just got a call back from them and it is a battery module replacement, est. 1 week for part to arrive. I'm going to start tracking from today for the Lemon Law. Will be requesting from the service team the information they provided in the call on email with more details.

7-10 business days to get the parts, another 2 days to do the work. (Includes physical installation and rebalancing the cells.) This is why we have warranties I guess.

Well, my truck is fixed, and i just drove it 4,800 kms from Calgary to Nova Scotia. Charged on DCFC flawlessly the whole way.
Good to know. I got word last Friday that the parts were in for my fix, so the work should be done this week. I have a semi-long trip planned in 2 weeks (180 miles, spend a week, then back) so I'm a bit apprehensive about having issues while away from home. I hope my experience is like yours.

F150 Lightning Lariat
I originally posted in another Powertrain / Battery thread. Wanted to give an update. My F150 Lariat 2023 with 7200 miles had the high voltage battery warning. Called dealer on May 6 to schedule appointment which was not until May 13. Kept truck at house since the message said that it would not run after shutting down. It did start and I drove it to dealer on May 13 instead of towing as the app message told me to do. Side note, called Ford and asked them if it was save to drive to dealer or if I should have it towed and did not get a yes or no. Was told only dealer can diagnose. Since it seemed to drive I dropped it off so as to not have to deal with tow truck. Then the annoying part started. No real update until I contacted Ford directly. It seems to just sit there for 3 weeks. Eventually a Ford person confirmed that it was in contact with the dealer and that they were diagnosing the battery. My service adviser was not really up on what the findings are and they would not let me speak directly to the tech.

Below is the important part of the fix which was completed pretty much a month later on June 14. Since I was on a trip I picked up the truck today. Speaking to Ford was helpful as they were really the only source of information and timing.

It also seems like the did the recalls, at least most of them. The app still shows the rear lightbar recall but it shows on the paperwork as completed.

Bottom line is that a new truck should really not be out of service for 5 weeks but at this point at least I have it back. Second problem is that it was almost impossible to get a good accurate update on timing or what the scope of the repair is going to be from dealer. Ford will help if you get the right person so credit to Ford on that one.

I am not a huge driver and treat my vehicles very gently. Never charged the battery to 100% and NEVER have used a DC charger since I always charge at home to 80%.

I still would buy the same truck if I had to do it all over again and my only real suggestion for Ford is to improve dealer training, parts availability and communication to customer.
