Meh. The A/C unit in the F150 was already impressively efficient.
I suspect that 2024 owners are going to find the heat pump to be a compromise.

I regularly have my F150 up in Maine in the winter. It's no great shakes.
When it's truly cold outside, leave your truck plugged into the level 2 charger and precondition before you depart.

Take a look at model 3 data with and without heat pump. That’s about as much info you'll get for the lightning until winter.

Anyone have data on how the 2024 heat pump works in extreme heat? AKA: 115 F while sitting in the AZ sun? Is it as good a the 22/23 compressors which I have no issues with?

Nobody has any data. What makes you think they will use the heat pump for cooling?

Home heat pumps can cool and heat but not efficient in the cold so the home also has a normal furnace as a backup. Assume vehicle HP's are the same.

Cold climate heat pumps are efficient in temps as low as -30°C & capable of 200% efficiency at -18°C.

Rather have it than not. I'm smack dab in the centre of a vast charging network...range isn't a factor.

Then tell me why we have a heat pump installed that cost over $5,000.00 just for the heat pump and last winter during several cold spells where we were -21F or so and the gas furnace ran most of the time because the heat pump would not heat the house. Called the heat pump manufacture and they said they lose efficiency at these temps. We can quote all the stats we want, but real life shows the opposite. The tesla heat pumps could not keep up in the cold last winter. Just go to the Tesla forums and read all the complaints regarding the Tesla's with heat pumps and how cold the drivers were in the the cold weather. I had one of these and sold it because of this and bought the Ford without the heat pump.
