Opening Frunk Turns off Remote Climate Start

So I’ve noticed a weird issue and wanted to poll the crowd on whether it’s just me or if I’m missing a setting. Here’s the scenario:

1. Walking out to the lightning, hit remote climate start
2. Climate starts confirmed
3. When i get closer, use ford pass app to open frunk
4. Climate stops, climate won’t restart until frunk is closed(car beeps instead)

What gives - is it supposed to do that?

Yes, that’s how it works. We suspect it’s a holdover from when the functionality was introduced on ICE vehicles with a rotating fan under the hood.

I suppose that makes sense, a little disappointing that such low hanging fruit hasn’t made it into a software update by now.

Once you spend a little time on this forum, you’ll soon see that this is just one of many frustrations with Ford’s software that should be easy fixes.

You only have the option if you have PAAK, and you are within Bluetooth range of the truck.
