Haven't found anyone having this issue, so I'm not too hopeful for a solution, but here goes...

When using Android Auto on my '22 Lariat with a Pixel 8 Pro everything is working as expected except that when I make or receive a phone call it transfers the call to my phone rather than using the speakers and mic in the truck - a serious issue in a hands-free state. It used to work and I'm not quite sure when it stopped, but my best guess is that the recent Sync update is the the breaking point. I've removed the phone and readded it to the vehicle with no change. If I go into phones, select my phone, and try to connect audio, the truck tells me that the phone isn't responding, whether plugged into the USB-C port or wireless. Am I missing a setting in Android Auto or in the truck somewhere?

I'd try a phone reset and a Sync reset. Maybe it's just a glitch. To do a Sync reset press and hold the down volume and skip ahead buttons on your steering wheel until the center screen goes blank.

Or maybe delete your phone from Sync and readd it. Try a reboot of each (phone and Sync) first maybe.

My only issue is with making a call first with hearing aids or BT headset and then starting my vehicle. Things get really screwy for me then.... until I restart the truck. Until then I can use BT with Sync or Android Auto, but not both...

Good morning! Could you privately message us with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer so we can assist with this audio concern? Thank you!

Now that you got this fixed, Iā€™m having an issue with text messages not displaying using auto android. With my Samsung galaxy. Not sure if my galaxy watch is intercepting them or itā€™s a setting to get the text to notify and display.
Thanks,
Rick

I've run into that occasionally, as well. Never really figured out what's happening. I'll hear the ding telling me that a text is coming in but the text never becomes available in the UI. I've also had it where the text does eventually become available. Then other times it works fine. I think there must be some bugs in Android Auto. You'd think using a Google Fi (no OEM junk added) Pixel with Android Auto would be the perfect pairing, but there are still quirks to work through.
