I’ve seen several YouTube influencer mention how hot the adapter was getting when in use.

It’s been going on since they stated shipping the earliest ones.

I received the same email from Ford this morning. My adapter reservation number was about #1200 and I received it in June.

So can I continue to use my Ford supplied adapter until the replacement arrives, of should I discontinue its use?

Consolidated FOUR threads on same theme / topic.

I have not received an email --yet--

@LUXMAN will likely weigh in, but he has not received an email for either of his two adapters - the same as @TaxmanHog.

@LUXMAN - looked and they do have serial numbers on them - or at least a number designated by S and they are different. So I don't know if Ford tracked, but if they know which serial numbered units went to who, they may not all need replacing.

I’ve had similar experience with Ford adapter getting hot and shutting down the charging session. Luckily I had the A2Z as a backup. At the time I thought the problem was the ambient temperature near 100 and no shade.

Got the letter too, but the only adapter I have is the one they sent me for my Mach-E that I traded for my Lightning. I kept it for use with my Lightning. I haven't received the adapter for my Lightning yet.
So either: (A) My first Lightning adapter has been shipped and is on its way, or (B) This letter is for my Mach-E adapter 🤷‍♂️

I, too, have received this notification email. Have confirmed my address in my account, and will await my replacement. (Uncertain if that wait will be patiently or not).

I have 2 adapters that I received for our 2 trucks and no email yet. We were very early to received the adapters in April.
I used one on a road trip with no issues. My TeslaTap gets hotter (daily) than that adapter ever has😬.

Would be nice if @Ford Motor Company would put out a notice with the affected Serial numbers
