Once you secure your FOB, delete all prior PAAK configurations & data {truck & phone} start from scratch.

If PAAK was your problem, you wouldn’t be able to start even in accessory mode - which is what you’re doing if you can do the things you’re doing on the big screen.

Now it’s getting to be a dangerous joke after waiting about 15 hours for roadside assistance they still haven’t provided me an update as to when they will get here. They have twice canceled my service on me..

I now need to get home to my family.

This won't help you for this trip but I really like the phone as a key app but was afraid of your situation. So I purchased one of those protective pouches and put my key fab in it and hit it in my truck. So if my phone stops working, I just have to remember my lock code.

I have considered doing this with one of my fobs but never got around to doing it. I figure a few wraps of aluminum foil around it should do the trick?

Now the jokes really on me this fucking stupid truck is unable to be put into neutral without the key so the tow truck people who took all day to get here had to leave because there was nothing they could do. Now my wife has to drive here three hours to bring me the fob. And hope that works.

Since you’re in accessory mode, did you try to follow the “Emergency tow procedure” in the manual? It should have worked - it’s specifically for a condition like yours where the truck won’t start.

Generally, tow truck drivers know very little about EVs.

I don’t think the Lightning ever had a release lever. Ford phone support aren’t much more informed than tow truck drivers, unfortunately.

2024 has a release lever; the tow driver had the same thing happen the other day with a ‘24. Even Ford told us about it and how to find it. But it did not exist on a 23.
