Hey guys,

I've got a 2022 Lightning and I've owned a FCSP since I bought it in July 2022.

I mostly always use 48A for my truck, but felt like I needed more for tomorrow morning so I plugged it in at 25% and set the FCSP to 80 amps but the truck only seems to be accepting around 10.6kwh...

I've used the full 80 amps in the past without issue. Heck the orange "power reduction" line is still on on the charge station...the app says it has updated the max amperage, everything seems good, but I'm not getting the full 80 amps. Is this something going on with the FCSP or is it possible that one of my two on board chargers isn't working anymore?

Thanks!

You probably need to power cycle the breaker for the FCSP. Myself as well as others have had trouble with this in the past I do not remember the thread right now, but you can probably search for it.

Unplug the truck,
Switch off the feeder breaker to your FCSP.

While it's off, double check your Fordpass and the amperage settings, flip it to 70, save it then switch it back to 80, save it, this process is actually talking to the truck telling the OBCC to adjust the AC amperage requested from the FCSP

Turn on the breaker, give it 15+ minutes to power up and establish communications with the server.

Plug in the charge cable to the truck ..... after this hopefully you see the yellow{orange} bar gone and the charging rate has jump up the the 17-19 kWh range.

If it hasn't try again, at some point it'll take.

This communication process is still as unpredictable as it was on day one, Ford & Siemens need to figure it out!

yeah that in-app adjustment is finicky at best. Made the mistake of lowering it to 48 amps after a few months and then figured I'd bump it back up but it's been nothing but problems since. I've had to turn the breaker off, go about my day and turn it back on a few hours later and it'd give me the full 80 amps. Then the next day it's back to only giving 48.

I have done all of that on multiple occasions and still get the yellow bar.

Understand, but it should revert to normal at some point.
I'm done playing with the adjuster even for troubleshooting & testing.

This could be caused by loose or corroded or arced out connections inside the fcsp or along the rest of the circuit.
Entire circuit is about a year old, hardwired, disconnect switch just above FCSP, torqued correctly etc. etc. etc. Yellow bar does not happen every time I plug in, probably around 50%, I thought it might be heat related, but nope, lately it's been 60ish degrees in my garage. Ford FCSP says they see nothing wrong from their end. Gues I'll wait for it to fail, if that ever happens, then take care of it.

about a year old,
About the same time mine did that. The contacts inside the fcsp were at torque but the problem didn't go away until I reseated them. Since you have a few connections to get to your panel it certainly wouldn't hurt. The internals are quite sensitive in order to not burn your house down.
