I don't understand how ford ignores their early 22 adopters/owners. We deserve all the updates and fixes first. We are the group who have subscription Blue cruise 1.0 that next year expires. Hello Ford 22 Lightnings deserve new OTA'S and new software first. The 22 owners paid a huge premium during covid for these trucks and deserve better!
Early adopters? How about full price payers, would be more accurate

I work at nasa, and this thread now has a higher density of acronyms than any of my work meetings.
Not even touching the level we used at IRS ......................

If anyone is interested, look up Document 6209, filled with tons of it.

So for those wondering if your truck will OTA update to BC 1.4 if you have certain outstanding CSP’s. Mine did with both still not done yet. I’d say yes based on my experience

23B70 “Battery monitor sensor replacement”
& 24B56 “Inoperative front parking sensors - software update image processing module a”

both not yet completed yet….
BC 1.4 working just fine.

Ford F-150 Lightning Bluecruise 1.4 officially being sent out to F150 & Lightnings starting today (12/11/24)! IMG_5739

Dealer refused CSP update a few weeks ago so trying again Monday.
I had the same problem back in August. Came back to the forum and found Mike G.'s post of the original CSP bulletins to owners and dealers. It's pretty clear all vehicles within the affected time range get the sensor update:

https://www.f150lightningforum.com/...sp-24b56-front-sensor-error.21470/post-421878

To celebrate 2025, after the New Year, I plan to get Ford to nudge my dealer, and then, hopefully, I won't have to haggle with my service rep to get it done.

I do have a question about some of the verbiage in the BC 1.4 update where it states we have one button activation. I have always had this. When I am on a BC compatible road and I press the cruise button it enables BC. How is this different on this version?

I was thinking the same exact thing.

Believe that BC will now automatically turn on Lane Centering should you happen to have it turned off. No need to push another button to turn on Lane Centering and then activate BC.

Do you have the lane change animation..or just a text announcement when it happens?

From my experiences as a person who always has had lane centering turned off while using cruise control only and have very rarely been using BC, it changed this. Now with BC 1.4 when I turn on cruise control on the interstate it defaults to turning on lane centering and with that one button of turning on cruise control my truck now defaults lane centering to on and starts BC driving immediately. In the past my lane centering stayed off, then I would have to turn it on, then wait for BC to eventually start. The caveat for me is when not using BC, I now have to turn off lane centering each time.

Reminds me of the sport driving mode change sticky setting that went away and changed some time ago. Reminiscent of the Paula Abdul song lyrics “One step forward, two steps back….”

It was a short drive Friday night and I’ll do a repeat on the interstate today and I’m going to check as I really cannot recall. I’ll confirm later today on this.

You are preaching to choir. Acronym usage is beyond extreme on this forum. I feel bad for all the newbies trying to educate themselves.

So what are they going to do for the CSP if the OTA has already updated the IPMA??
If you get the BC 1.4 update (either OTA, or by FDRS) to the IPMA and PSCM modules it will be an update to the IPMA/PSCM updates that you never got that came out a couple of months ago as part of the 24B56 IPMA front sensor fix.

The CSP FSA (24B56) will still likely be attached to your VIN (as it is right now) and will stay that way until your dealer service advisor clears it, or months and months from now somebody runs a script on the server and figures out that your truck was updated by an OTA or a tech, or by you with your personal FDRS subscription.

My truck just went in for the 10K service and I had three FSAs that I had done the updates for personally. Dealer signed them off (there wasn't any software that needed to be updated), so the job was done and the FSA 'campaigns' were cleared from my outstanding FSA list.

Once again, for clarity, if you get the BC 1.4 OTA....or you do the current IPMA/PSCM combo using FDRS, you will have the IPMA software that would give you BC 1.4 functionality, and would also correct the front sensor issue if you never had the truck in for that a few months ago.
